Green Wall Design

The concept of peripeteia was directly derived from the theme of duality and contrast present in the sculpture chosen for this project. The forms found in this green wall design proposal are heavily inspired by this very idea of the rise and fall of circumstances.

Beginning with the building material of the area where the sculpture is hung, these chevron veneer wood planks form patterns of decreasing and increasing slopes which signifies the reversal of fortune. Such angular lines are mimicked in a similar manner on the arrangement of plants patterned within the green wall panels. These very panels themselves are also staggered to represent the ups and downs of life.

Clay bricks are paired with the green walls because red and green are complementary colors. Moreover, brick signifies order and hardness, while the plants on the other hand represent chaos and softness.
