Miss Kitty

Fresh off the heels of the launch of her debut novel, ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’, Miss Kitty is someone to talk about! So TeenVybe did just that and got some juicy info about her life as a teen.  Fondest high school memory I have a lot!  Sculling school! *LOLs* I would say, when I was in 9th grade at Merl Grove and we had our class party and it was just nice and we had the yearbook and the cool things that people wrote in the book. I really must say the Christmas party of grade nine. I had the best teacher and the best friends in 9th grade. KFC did nuff and tun up!   First serious relationship Lower sixth! I had a little boyfriend. But there was no sex at all. I really liked this guy. But, NO SEX! You gotta be eighteen to have sex. Otherwise, I was gonna get stabbed. *LOLs* My mother don’t joke. And I just feared getting pregnant so much. How about wait? Legal! *LOLs*  Fondest memory as a teenager My Sweet Sixteen! That was hot  It was really a turning point. Also, with my girlfriends and the ability to just travel and stay abroad for a long time and I had no problems, no bills, was just living the life and getting everything that I wanted. And all I had to do really, was just do well in school and reap the rewards.

GIVING AND RECEIVING Heyyyyy TeenVybe Fam, as the Christmas season approaches I can feel excitement in the air. Christmas is about giving and yes - receiving. This is the time that’s set aside for the world at large to celebrate the gift in Jesus Christ. God was moved to give us His Son, because He loves us, so I implore you to give as much as you can this Christmas season. So yes, we’ll talk about giving and receiving in this issue. The Bible says quite a few things about giving and receiving; we’ll look at two of those scriptures: 1. Acts 20:35b “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” 2. Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” 

As the scripture says above; it’s more blessed to give than to receive, and I believe that’s because you set yourself up to be on the receiving end each time you give, and needless to say when you receive and give again you keep the cycle going.

Now the Bible also says that the same measure with which you use to give will be the same measure returned to you. In other words if you give a little you can expect to receive only a little, but conversely, if you give a lot, you can expect to get a lot. WHEN CAN A LITTLE BE CONSIDERED A LOT?

Might I point out however that if a little is all you have it could be considered as a lot, (Read about the widow’s mite, and how her little was considered to be a lot - Mark 12: 41-44). I’m sure you know what I mean, as you can attest that sometimes a friend may do a small thing for you, but in your eyes it’s like really BIG. You know what I mean! So this Christmas season focus on giving and receiving will have to follow.
