A Prayer for our Readers:

F

ather, I present to you a generation of teenagers that have been called generation X, but I dare to call them generation X-Cellent, because it’s through them that you will do excellent things and great exploits.

Lord you said in your word that in the last days you will pour out your Spirit on all flesh and so God I pray that as you do so…You will shower this generation of teenagers with great ideas, insights and concepts that will change the world in which they live; not just for themselves, but for everyone in their sphere of influence. God I pray that you will so equip them to grasp the things they are taught in school by their teachers. Give them the desire to learn, open and expand the capacity of their minds to retain those things. Lord, help them to appropriate their priorities this school term and put first things first. May You give them wisdom and understanding as they form new friendships and work to maintain old relationships. Father, I pray that You’ll give them teachers and other faculty with hearts to impart knowledge and tolerance to treat them with the same level of respect they themselves expect and may they too be respectful to and tolerant with staff and teachers. Lord, build a bridge between teenagers and parents, so that they learn to trust and confide in their parents and give their parents great wisdom to guide and nurture them, in order that they may make the right decisions. I pray that You, Dear Lord will give your angels charge over teenagers this school term; to keep them from walking into trouble or danger, in Jesus’ name I pray and declare it done…Amen.

Constantly we hear talks and arguments to the tune of Jamaica being brain drained – A term that refers to [Human capital flight, which reflects the large-scale emigration of a large group of individuals with technical skills or knowledge. The reasons usually include two aspects, which respectively come from countries and individuals. In terms of countries, the reasons may be social environment, lack of opportunities, political instability, economic depression, health risks. In terms of individual reasons, there are family influences (overseas relatives), and personal preference: preference for exploring, ambition for an improved career, etc.] Anyway – Ask yourself this question, if Jamaica is so brain drained, why do all these major corporations and movers and shakers keep coming here? CASE IN POINT: Did you know that Sir Richard Branson, CEO and Founder of Virgin Records and Virgin Airlines, etc. and also ONE OF THE RICHEST MEN IN THE WORLD (goggle him) just made an investment in Jamaica, and guess what, it revolves around brain; not muscle power? Yea, I know you had no idea, but so do many others who make such silly assumptions that our Island is suffering from a massive exodus of our intellects. Sure people are leaving, but in the same breath, others are staying and while we buy into the hype, some of the worlds richest are here on a quest to mine Jamaica‟s most valuable resources yet – the minds and ideas of our people. LITTLE KNOWN FACT: The Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship Caribbean was opened in early September in Montego Bay, St James. The centre will act as a hub for aspiring entrepreneurs and will aim primarily to help young entrepreneurs from traditionally disadvantaged communities. The lead business sponsor of the centre is Virgin Holidays – a company within Branson‟s Virgin Group – which has committed £2 million over the next decade to sponsor the initiative. The Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship Caribbean will be a hub from which smaller „satellite‟ centres will eventually be developed across the Caribbean. QUESTION: So if some of the world‟s richest are coming here, why should we be running away? – Food For Thought.

To Line or Not To Line? - The Do‟s & Don‟ts of Eyeliner

H

ey readers, Blair here  In this issue we‟ll focus on eyeliner. For some, eyeliner tends to be the trickiest to apply. The problem? We still can‟t stop buying it! There are just too many variations and shades for us to choose from. But, don‟t you always wonder how to get it on perfectly? Why does it always get caked up? Don‟t you wish it was just „glide liner on upper and lower lashes, bam, done?!‟ Well, not quite. Teen girls have this obsession with makeup. Once you discover it, all you want to do is stock up on any and every product you can get your hand on. I totally understand this need to experiment and I want to save you the embarrassment you may suffer years down the road because of your „adventures.‟ Lining eyes with harsh black liner is the first mistake girls make. Let me be clear: we have nothing against black eyeliner; it‟s a great tool! But some girls have this tendency to cake it on, creating that undesirable raccoon look. Before you line, think about these things: What is your eye size? All eye sizes can use eyeliner in one way or another but some people are blessed with gorgeous big eyes. In that case, line the top lid only to avoid a bright-eyed look. If you think you absolutely can‟t go without any liner, line the bottom lid, but stop right before your iris starts. What look are you going for? If you‟re just heading out for a day at a friend‟s house, keep things simple with a pencil liner. Evening looks can call for liquid liner and cream eyeliner can be used lightly for daytime or be heavily applied for night. Now, to apply liner is a tad difficult. We want people to see past our eyeliner into our eyes. The product is meant to define eyes, not defy them. So starting with your top lid, place your ring finger right below your brow and tug upwards, just enough to create a usable space for liner. With your writing hand, line lashes from the inside out. Instead of swiping one time across, wiggle the pencil back and forth to make your liner stick. As for your bottom lashes, the wiggling technique still applies. Start from the outside and work your way in this time. You want your liner to be darker on the corners than in the beginning. (Awesome Tip: Tired eyes? Trace parts of your lids with a white pencil to seem more awake.) Now, go GET GLAM!!! 

A native of the parish of Clarendon and a proud alumnus of Clarendon College; Richard Webb, more popularly known as Richie Loop is known to the world for his MEGA HIT song “My Cup,” THE undisputed party anthem of 2010 – hands down!. Call it a scroll of luck, but Richie actually came by his stage name in a very unconventional way, when he saw his number saved in a friend‟s phone as „Richie Loop‟ and liked it. Almost instantly he began spreading the word of his new name and it not only caught on, it stuck and he inturn decided to stick to it. If Richie is to tell it, he is different from many other artistes, well-rounded; from writing to production, which not many artistes are capable of. Despite all his diversified talents, Richie is however a young artiste, hence he is still in the learning process of the whole business of music and according to him, Robert Livingston who has been instrumental in the development of dancehall icon Shaggy‟s career has been his biggest inspiration and mentor thus far. He attributes his success to hard work and consistency and told TeenVybe that, “It‟s a great feeling as a likkle yute who come from country. Trus me, it‟s a great feeling!” As a result of his success Richie has travelled to various spots across the globe including North America and literally all the Caribbean islands, but as expected, out of all his travel, he still loves Jamaica the most! Richie says that if he wasn‟t producing, writing or singing, he‟d probably be designing cars as he has been doing it from a very tender age and has a

natural aptitude for it and enjoys the creative process. Like most young men, when boredom strikes, he too plays video games, just holds a „meds‟ and makes beats or does some drawing. Also a fan of music, he has massive ratings for artistes like Lil Wayne, Vybz Kartel, Shaggy, and Chris Martin. - Richie is terrified of cockroaches. - Pet peeve? Hates when people constantly call or ping him while he‟s in the process of making music.

 Look out for his brand new song and video with Chris Martin,

Healthy Eating

I

f you're a typical teenager with parents who always nag you about what you eat, how you eat, when you eat or don't eat, and the amount of junk food you consume, these comments will sound familiar to you. Give your parents a break; they are just doing their job. They want you to eat properly so you'll develop, be healthy, and keep your moods balanced.

Make an effort to eat foods that don't come pre-packaged or prepared. Read the nutrition labels on the packaged foods you do eat so you can learn more about the food's sodium and fat content, as well as the many ingredients that are contained in the packaged foods. If you can't pronounce the ingredients on the label, chances are the food is not your best choice nutritionally.

day for at least 10 to 15 minutes, unless you already have a physically active lifestyle. Before school, jump rope for a few minutes or if you donâ€&#x;t have a rope, just do some jumping jacks before leaving the house to get your blood pumping, not that it already isnâ€&#x;t :p You'll feel better and it will improve your ability to concentrate during the day. After school, maybe turn on the radio or stick those iPod headphones in and dance to some music. This is a great way to get the blood circulating to your brain so you Along with choosing and eating more can better focus on your homework healthy foods, begin to exercise each assignments. Whatever physical activity appeals to you, make it part of your daily routine. It will lift your spirits and improve your moods. Courtnie Brady

With eight 1s in CXCs, Courtnie seems poised to be the business lawyer her heart desires. However, for Courtnie, preparing for CXCs “definitely wasn‟t a walk in the park.” She was pretty nervous about exams, but eventually came to the realisation that as long as she studied well, there was no need to be nervous. She was extremely worried about History and Spanish in particular and really didn‟t expect to be as successful as she was in CXCs. Courtnie is a typical teenager as she listens to music, tweets and hangs out with friends for a good time. She is now attending sixth form at Immaculate Conception High School and thereafter hopes to further her education in law.

Stefan Richards

Stefan is a graduate of the Campion College and earned himself ten 1s in CXCs. He had faith in his abilities, but was still shocked when he discovered his results. Stefan says he felt “prepared enough” going into exams, as his study groups were a big help. He simply put things in the hands of God. No drastic measures were taken however, as Stefan didn‟t cancel his BlackBerry service nor did he refrain from going out. With ten 1s, the possibilities seem endless and Stefan is clearly aware of this, as he desires to be the United Nations‟ Secretary – General. Stefan is currently attending the United World College of the Atlantic in St. Donat‟s Castle, Wales, UK where he is pursuing his IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma. For his incredible achievement, Stefan received a Flip-Top laptop from LIME, a plane ticket from the mayor of Kingston and congratulatory monies.” Stefan‟s advice to those sitting the upcoming CXCs is to “Aim for the very best your mind can conceive, work hard and never forget to pray and ask God for guidance.”

Shaun James He eats a cinnamon roll and drinks a Cranberry Wata prior to each exam to get rid of nerves. Kinda weird huh? But it works for Shaun, who got nine 1s in CXCs. Even though he was confident, the whole exam period was stressful and physically exhausting for him as he swims for the national team. At the end of each exam, he and his colleagues would review the questions and based upon those reviews, he was pretty sure he did well, but with a laugh, Shaun says he “was anticipating at least one 2.” Shaun is now furthering his education in sixth form at Ardenne High School and with parents as supportive as his, Shaun is well on his way to becoming the orthopaedic surgeon or commercial pilot he so desires.

David Barnes Another Ardenne graduate, David relied on God during his exams as he would read a bible verse to keep his nerves composed. He surely put his trust in the right place, producing 1s in Math, English Language, Information Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Spanish, French, Principles of Accounts and Geography. Despite his success, David says “It was not an easy task owing to the volume of work and the time spent for studying but being relaxed was key,” and he was actually scared at first, but his family and friends were very supportive, which also helped him to keep his composure during the exam period. David is continuing his education at Ardenne in sixth form and if it is God‟s will he hopes to pursue a career in actuarial science. He enjoys watching cricket and track and field and also takes joy in helping others with their schoolwork.

Je-Vaughn Wynter Je-Vaughn says he has been academically inclined from his early days as a child as he has always been doing excellently in school. He snatched eight 1s and two 2s in CXCs and says “the preparation was rather feasible...but tedious at times considering all his extra-curricular activities.” Je-Vaughn simply did his best to remain calm before each exam, but for most of his exams he was late, which worried him but he prayed to God and his nerves gradually diminished. Despite all this, his results came as no surprise to him. He‟s now in sixth form at Kingston College as he says it‟s FORTIS FOREVER!

Danielle Vanriel “It was hell!”... That‟s how Danielle describes preparing for CXCs. She slacked off at first, but one month before exams began she started pulling all-nighters and studying real hard. That extreme hard work gained her seven 1s and two 2s. She sang softly during exams to keep her nerves calm, but certainly didn‟t expect such great results as she was somewhat scared because of all the horror stories she heard about CXCs, but according to Danielle “the preparation for CXCs was harder than the exams themselves.” She got a brand new Nokia C3 for her achievements, but lost it at this year‟s Marco Polo.  She is currently in sixth form at Wolmer‟s High School for Girls and wants a career in the medical field.

Jade Jeffery Jade says “I have to pray. My actions are not of my own. I really don't know what I would have done without God.” The hardest part of attaining her nine 1s however was preparing and getting started, not studying, in fact, she barely did. She was extremely nervous even though she knew her grades would be good, as she wrote her candidate number wrong, ticked male for female and nearly spilled all her pens. However she “…felt an inner confidence which stemmed from the fact that I knew I made the necessary preparations and that I had the full support of God and my family.” Her favourite subject is English Language and she says this year in school is more than just about the work for her, it‟s more about finding herself and deciding on a career path that she‟ll grow to love. She is now attending sixth form at the Campion College and intends to get more involved in school, eg. Clubs, volunteer work, and sports. For fun, Jade parties and reads a good book.

Javanni Waugh Javanni spoke very proudly with us about his seven 1s two 2s in CXCs. Before all exams, he makes it mandatory to say a word of prayer. He barely got any sleep due to studying and began studying three months prior to the beginning of exams. His entire family kept him inspired to do well. To help his focus, he deactivated his Facebook account for four months, which he says worked like a charm. With all these drastic measures applied, Javanni expected his hard work to pay off the way it did and he was very elated when he found out his results. He thinks that those sitting CXCs this time around should complete all their SBAs (School Based Assessments) so they can achieve the highest grades possible. Javanni sings, talks with friends, goes out, browses Facebook and BBMs for fun.

Xavier Daley TV: What do you think makes you awesome? Xavier: “My capabilities of making incredible music *LOLs* and I always make a lot of people laugh, so I think that makes me awesome.” TV: What do you do for fun? Xavier: “Listen to music, go on the computer, go in the studio and I also steal out people’s parents cars.”  TV: Some things that you’d want if you were stranded on an island? Xavier: “A bible, couple girls, a boat! I would want a boat to come off the island.” TV: Number one fear? Xavier: “God.”

TV: Favourite food?

Xavier: “Lobster and Hershey’s pie!” 

TV: What do you do when you’re bored? Xavier: “I freestyle!” 

TV: Favourite artist? [Local & International] Xavier: “Popcaan & Soulja Boy!”  TV: Describe yourself in eight words. Xavier: “Brown, tall…ish, talented, hilarious, gaza, gully, cute, skinny.” TV: Who do you look up to? Xavier: “I would have to say Mark Zuckerburg!” TV: Two things that you never leave your house without? Xavier: “My phone and my shirt.” TV: Hobbies? Xavier: “Playing football, listening to music, talking to girls, writing music and telling jokes.”

TV: Ultimate career goal? Xavier: “To be the youngest marketing manager in Jamaica.”

TV: What do you look for in a girl? Xavier: “Looks, shape, she cannot be skinny or fat, she has to be thick and other stuff” 

TV: Favourite clothing brand? Xavier: “Aeropostale.”

TV: Pet peeve? Xavier: “Eedyat gyal and liars.”

TV: Favourite game? Xavier: “FIFA, Definitely FIFA!”

TV: Opinion of TeenVybe Magazine? Xavier: “I think it’s a good magazine. I think what they’re aiming for is very good; helping out the youth, you know? People need to listen to teenagers and that’s exactly what they’re doing and since they’re teens they can understand what us teens are going through. You get what I’m saying?”

FNO: Fab or Flop?!

J

ust two years after its inception, Fashion’s Night Out, a night of shopping and celebration that takes place across the globe, has made a controversial impact on the fashion industry and the consumer retail world. From Australia to France, Italy to Germany, London to New York, the after-hours fashion extravaganza staged its third year of the celebration of fashion and style last Thursday, with Jamaica being one of the many participating countries. The event, which was the brainchild of Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour, was created to help boost retail sales during the month of September when the fashion industry is noted for having their lowest returns for the year. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, I’m sure you’re well aware that last week Thursday was FNO, or what has officially been dubbed “JAMAICA OBSERVER CELEBRATES FASHION’S NIGHT OUT (FNO) 2011”. The streets of Kingston and Montego Bay came alive as anxious shoppers descended upon stores; looking for great deals and bargains on this season’s fashions. But like any event of this magnitude, FNO had its benefits and drawbacks. On one hand, I think it’s safe to say that FNO achieved its main purpose of heightening people’s interest in shopping and therefore boosting industry sales in a period when business is usually at its worst. However, how beneficial is FNO to us? To the people that really matter. Are the consumers really getting a ‘deal’ by shopping on Fashion’s Night Out? This is what I sought to evaluate. While FNO is intended to allow us to get great discounts and deals from our favourite stores, we have to wonder, how good are these deals?

slashed up to 50 percent in some stores, but on what? Some of the most common clothing items you can possibly find. God forbid you were to step out on a Friday night feeling oh so fresh and clean, just to be met with the rude awaking of seeing every Tom, Mary Jane and Sue in the same outfit. I can’t help but cringe even at the mere thought of that. The reality is that for the more exclusive clothing items, discounts at FNO were probably only between 10 -25 percent (and yes, I know firsthand, as I was amongst the masses shopping that night). How much of a bargain is that really? Think about it. It seems more like a ploy to get people to come out in their numbers and grab the last of the items that these stores are itching to get rid of. Summer is over, winter is approaching, (while Jamaica may not have much change in temperature, fashion trends still change) and it’s time for the stores to clear out and make room for new stock. However, I suppose whether it’s 10 percent or 70 percent, a discount is a discount! Then there’s the other issue of crowd control and safety precautions. Some stores were so popular that customers had to be forcing to get in one by one just to view the items on sale. Standing in long lines and waiting for hours just to get inside a store. Who says that after you’ve waited so long, pushed and shoved through the crowd outside, and finally gotten inside the store, you’ll even find anything you like? What a gamble. Furthermore, from such huge crowds emerged those parasites lurking among us, just waiting for the perfect opportunity to treat themselves to a little ‘five finger discount’ at the expense of innocent shoppers. Yes, that’s right, I’m referring to the scum that have mastered the art of pick-pocketing and see FNO as their playground to earn themselves some new ‘toys’. The threat of theft is unfortunately, pretty much

inevitable at an event of this magnitude. This, in my opinion is one of the main drawbacks of this night. While I’m a huge supporter of this venture, simply because of my genuine love for fashion in general, I must admit that there are many improvements left to be made. More security measures, crowd control and not to mention the traffic headaches, may cause FNO to appear to be more flop than fab, with the drawbacks appearing to outweigh the actual benefits. Nevertheless, every year, we come out in our numbers for this one-night fashion fiasco, for whatever reason, whether it is just to socialize with our peers, or to hunt for remarkable deals. At the end of the day, the event is still a remarkable venture where for one night, millions of people worldwide, from all different walks of life, manage to put their differences aside and simply shop all in the name of fashion. Call it one big blow-out sale or a social event for casual meet and greet, one thing’s for sure, FNO is likely to be around for many years to come. And that is why, no matter how many drawbacks there are, FNO in my eyes is still nothing short of FAB! See you next year!

TV: What‟s your ultimate goal? Andre: “My ultimate goal is to create a wonderful career off what I love.”

Sean Harris & Sharelle Robinson claim the coveted title of being Solumates, but what or who are Soulmates? According to the dictionary: A soulmate (or soul mate) is a person with whom one has a feeling of deep or natural affinity, similarity, love, intimacy, sexua lity, spirituality, or compatibility. A related concept is that of the twin flame or twin soul, which is thought to be the ultimate soulmate. In New Age spirituality, the ultimate soulmate is the one and only other half of one's soul. SO ARE THEY WHAT THEY CLAIM TO BE? – Let’s find out: TV: How long have you guys been together? Sean: “It‟s more complicated than just being together still. We‟ve been talking for like a year, but we made it official on the 14th of July. Trust me, that one year was very hectic.” Sharelle: “It was like a rollercoaster” TV: What problems were faced during that year that made it so hectic? Sharelle: “The girls. Sean kept giving them forward. He kept giving them the impression that they had an opportunity or they had a chance and that wasn‟t the case because I was in the picture.” TV: Why do you guys believe you‟re soulmates? Sharelle: “Well… I haven‟t had a relationship like this before, trust me. And I think if we were to break up, God forbid, it wouldn‟t be the same. Like no one could test what we‟ve had. Sean: “To be honest, I‟ve never seen myself going back and forth with a young lady before. Never. And I don‟t know if this is kind of a bad thing to say but, my first love, I‟ve never been so on point with her. She has never brought me back to reality like how Sharelle does.” TV: How long do you guys see the relationship lasting? Sharelle: “Forever. As long as we can work together, I‟m sure it can last as long as possible.” TV: What do you guys think makes your relationship special? Sean: “Intimacy is a very strong aspect in our relationship.” *LOLs*

TV: How do you guys see past arguments and disagreements?

Sean: “Seeing that I‟m the calmer one in the relationship, she‟s more of the warrior. I‟ll just calm her down and many times when I‟m next to her she couldn‟t even think about getting annoyed.”

TV: One thing that you guys would change about each other‟s physical appearance? Sharelle: “Nothing, he has already changed it. The hair – it was higher and gelled and he looked like a dead rat.” Sean: “Nothing eno, nothing at all.”

TV: What are some special/unique things that you guys do together? Sharelle: “We go out for lunch and spend a lot of quality time together. This stuff is really special to me because I haven‟t done them in any of my previous relationships. We walk to my mom‟s office, so we chit chat during the walk” 

TV: Dream vacation spot together? Sean & Sharelle: “A Caribbean island.” Sharelle: “I was thinking the Bahamas!”  Sean: “I‟m thinking Barbados.” 

TV: Three key elements to a good relationship. Sharelle: “Communication, trust. Sean: “The ability to express one‟s feelings.”

TV: How did the relationship begin? Sharelle: “We met at our friend‟s sweet sixteen. We sat around the same table. That was last March. I added him on Facebook and we didn‟t talk. Then I got my BlackBerry and my friend had him as a contact and she asked me if I wanted to add him as a contact and I said “sure” and then he was sick and it was the Thursday before Marco Polo, so we were talking. And then we were supposed to meet up on the day of Marco Polo and we met and from that we started talking everyday, everyday…until it reach here.” 

TV: Something you guys do for fun? Sharelle: “Eat!” Sean: Yes! We‟re swarts. We love to eat together.” 

TV: Is there any particular couple that you guys look up to or would like to be like? Sean: “No.”

TV: Did y u guys expect the relationship to last, even up until now? Sharelle: “No, I didn‟t expect it to last. I didn‟t expect it to last. Because of all the girls and stuff, it look like it wudda drop from long time.”

TV: Any regrets or anything that you‟d do differently if you had the chance? Sean: “Well… basically, I would not be so upfront and friendly with other females, because knowing that I‟m so social, I draw a lot of attention to myself and so it created a problem for Sharelle. All those female Facebook statuses. Sharelle: “And Twitter!” Sean: “Right. Twitter was one of the main reasons why we almost broke up.”

TV: Most memorable moment together? Sharelle: “There‟s so many! When we went to Smudge and we walked all the way from Police Officer‟s to some far, far place.” 

TV: Kids in the future? Sean: “Sharelle doesn‟t want to have kids. But I want to have a child.”

TV: What advice would you give to other couples? Sharelle: “Well, I would say to make sure the communication level in the relationship is very strong, so when one of the partners mood changes the other can detect it and know what to do. And they should express how they really feel about any problems or anything in the relationship, that‟s if they really care about the relationship.”

TV: One thing that each other does that‟s annoying? Sean: “Her constant and irritating mood changes.” Sharelle: “Nothing.”

TV: One thing that each other does that makes each other happy? Sharelle: “Despite all my mood changes and disgusting ways, he‟s always there, so it‟s not like he‟ll just end the relationship and leave. That‟s good because it isn‟t all the boys in Jamaica or boys that exist today have that quality.” Sean: “Well, I‟m the type of person that loves the mushyness, she‟s always there to sweet me up, with the names and stuff.” 

TV: Nicknames for each other? Sharelle: “His names are: honey bear, sugar bear, putus.” Sean: Her‟s are: care bear, muffin, baby bear, lollipop.” 

TeenBling: Rated FTO – For Teens Only

L

ast Thursday‟s Fashion‟s Night Out saw great clothes, great stores, great deals, great people and needless to say…A great vybe. However, there is one unique store that stood out to the TeenVybe Team. „TeenBling‟ is the newborn baby of the popular accessory store, „BlingBling‟. The store was conceptualised by the brilliant mind of a seventeen year old by the name of Lauren Anika Mills. She realised that most stores and things happening in Jamaica were affixed with the blatant stamp, which states “18 and Older” and that there were no local stores catering EXCLUSIVELY to Teens. Lauren thought we needed a space to shop that we could call our own, and the rest as they say, is history.

As you enter „TeenBling‟, you‟ll see young, vibrant faces, as the

store is run solely by a group of teenagers, who also decide the inventory that‟s placed on the shelves, which we must say is AWESOME! The store‟s ambience is one of complete comfort and relaxation – SHOPPING HEAVEN – Colourful and fun, the walls of „TeenBling‟ are bedazzled with broken glass; a perfect combination to the colourful zebra print ceiling, while the lighting emitted from the chandeliers help to facilitate that ideal, sophisticated vybe that shoppers crave. Remember when you were 11 or 12 and you weren‟t allowed to enter a movie without an adult because it was rated PG-13? Well, „TeenBling‟ is Rated FTO [For Teens Only] as they like to call it. They specialise in EVERYTHING TEEN! Adults aren‟t exactly greeted with open arms, however there will be one day in each week when parents/adults will be allowed in the store to browse around, BUT – they aren‟t allowed to make any purchases. All purchases MUST be made by TEENS, and with brands like Hollister, Juicy Couture, Wet Seal, Abercrombie&Fitch and many more, you‟ll certainly be making a few. Talk about exclusive! Any downside to „TeenBling? Well, right now, they only have female apparel available. But, not to worry guys, male apparel will be available by the latest November! On top of all this, „TeenBling‟ will be providing a homework service in the future where Teens can come in and a volunteer will be readily available to assist them with their homework and schoolwork in whatever area needed.

ello again TeenVybe Fam, I hope that after the last TeenVybe Spirit; you‟re no longer asking…Why am I here, is it just to be another person, to make up the number? Am I just another student in the class, a part of the statistic?

Instead I hope you now understand that you were created for a purpose. And as promised; in this issue we‟ll look at practical ways to discover and fulfill your purpose. PURPOSE: The reason for being or existing. Scripture Reference: Jeremiah 1: 5 – 7 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah saying: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” Then said I: “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.” But the LORD said to me: “Do not say, I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak.” How to identify/discover and fulfill my God assigned Purpose: 1. Strengths, Natural Abilities and Talents: We all have them…Identify yours. Sometimes a good friend or your parents will spot these, so ask for their help. 2.

Passion and Fulfillment: What are you passionate about? It’s usually the thing you’re willing to do, even without being financially compensated, because it gives you real fulfillment.

3. Anger and Indignation: What makes you angry and stirs your indignation? Take note of the things you wished would change so much that it angers you...You might just be the person to change it. 4. Prayer: Prayer is simply communicating with God. Bringing this matter of purpose to God must be a part of the equation. You talk to Him and He will talk back to you. As you put this personal inventory into effect you‟ll be well on your way to discovering your purpose…Enjoy the journey! And when you have discovered your purpose, move on to fulfilling it... One decision at a time, it‟s really that simple. Discovering and fulfilling your purpose will not only be to your benefit, but to the benefit of all the other persons whose quality of life you could improve. Just think about it, the guy who invented the pen; did so in 1884 and today we‟re all still benefiting from his invention. What would we have done without the pen, especially before the boom of the electronic age? Finally…I say to you…Passionately Pursue Purpose.
