Welcome Welcome to our guide to the exciting range of activities taking place at Event in a tent, our annual three day recognition event for our people. This year, the event is back in a tent on the helipad, after we enjoyed a variety of virtual events last year. Held from Tuesday, 14 September, to Thursday, 16 September, it is an opportunity to celebrate your achievements, focus on your development, and hear the latest about our vision for the future of PAHT. We will be hosting the Long Service Awards on Tuesday, 14 September, and Our Amazing People Awards on Wednesday, 15 September, in which we will recognise your outstanding commitment and contributions. We hope to see as many of you at our events as possible. The events will also be recorded and hosted on our Event in a tent: Reloaded playlist for you to enjoy afterwards. Never before has the reality of a new hospital been so close, having submitted our pre-consultation business case in September 2019, coinciding with the launch of the government’s Health Infrastructure Plan (HIP) Programme. In October 2019, the Department of Health announced that PAHT would be one of six trusts in the first wave of the HIP programme, giving the go ahead for us to develop our outline business case, with a new hospital build on a greenfield site as the preferred way forward. With the development of a national new hospital programme, we are one of the frontrunner eight organisations working closely with the national team to deliver a new hospital for Harlow and surrounding areas. It will be a world-class hospital for the future, providing first-rate care for our patients and the best place to work for our people. You can read more on our microsite, www.pah.nhs.uk/newhospital.
