PAIGE MESSANA
ABOUT Paige Messana Interior Designer Interior Design has always been a passion for Paige. She is a graduate of Endicott College with a BFA in Interior Architecture and her Masters of Interior Architecture through Endicott College’s graduate program. From a young age, Paige enjoyed design and the ability to make spaces function better. Raised on the North Fork of Long Island, she has been surrounded by farms and the sea inspiring an appreciation for simple living and natural design. Paige believes that spaces should feel less decorated and instead, in harmony and ingrained with architecture and the built environment. She feels the most successful spaces are those which are created to feel approachable, relaxed, and calming for users.

FLOORPLAN PROJECT TYPE: Urban Design LOCATION: NYC subway system PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The NOOK design program combats urban subway crime by introducing new passive and active design features. The inclusion of additive design enviornments or, NOOKs, provide users peaceful refuge in an otherwise hectic environment. Based on collected research, the inclusion of an additive design envionment and a more organzied program would heighten the sense of ownership in the space and increase safety for users of the subway.
