They keep you focused, pick you up when you are down and are always there which is simply priceless. You may be hating them sometimes but that’s only because you love them. We get two best friends to tell us what they love and hate about each other.

Travelling is great fun. You get to explore a new place, meet new people and get wiser! We want to know more and will share with you exciting travel stories from a few special people in our new section, planes, trains & automobiles! Where did you choose to go and why? I visited Jaipur, "The Pink City", in Rajasthan, India. We had a business strategy meeting with one of the world's most desired and global jewellery brands, Amrapali Jaipur. Our company, Khazana, are their exclusive distributors in Pakistan. The business trip turned out to be the perfect vacation spot for us as well. Who did you travel with? I travelled with my husband, Amin. He is also my best friend and a great travel companion. Amin is a previous visitor of Jaipur and has known the founders of Amrapali, Rajiv Arora and Rajesh Ajmera, for over a decade. Where did you stay? I stayed at the newly built Hilton Jaipur. It is a very centrally located

5-star business hotel with great rooms and amenities. I particularly liked their spa which was very convenient after a long day. There are a lot of great hotels to choose from in Jaipur as it is one of the top tourist destinations in Asia, and room pricing is fairly competitive. The local government also promotes tourism and retention of Jaipur's heritage, and has provided various benefits to the hotel industry. The outcome is a lot of great historical buildings completed renovated into hotels that are perfect to stay and unwind when on vacation. My favourite has to be the extremely exclusive Rambagh Palace, where the Presidential Suite costs up to $50,000 per night! What are the best shopping spots there? Jaipur is best known for its jewellery and there is no greater spot to shop for jewels than Amrapali's flagship store at Panch Batti. Fortunately, you will soon be able find their creations for sale and

What can you do over there to relax and unwind? Simply check-in to the Rambagh Palace, the former residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Guests can partake in a wealth of experiences that resound with the memories, luxuries and extravagances of a bygone era that luckily has not entirely disappeared. Every minute detail is breathtakingly beautiful, and non-guests are not allowed to enter the premises. We were fortunate enough to enjoy their facilities as Amrapali Jaipur has a store in the palace as well. Finally, any tips? If you want to visit Jaipur, begin by visiting the Amrapali Jaipur store in Lahore and we will be happy to help you with your travel arrangements. Don't miss the elephant ride which takes you up to the Amer Palace. Remember all historic sites have a seperate charm at day and night. Try to visit The Polo Bar at the Rambagh Palace. And above all, carry a lot of cash as there is a lot to spend on!

Tell us about the sights noone should miss out on. There are so many as Jaipur is unprecedented in maintaining its heritage. It is also known as "The Pink City" as every building within the walled historic centre is painted a terracotta pink color (representing a warm welcome and hospitality), which was done during the rule of Sawai Ram Singh to welcome Edward, The Prince of Wales. Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal (Water Palace), Rambagh Palace, City Palace (present residence of the heirs of the Maharaja of

Suggest places for a perfect night out I would highly recommend dinner at 1135 A.D. (the year the foundation stone was laid) in Amer Fort. It has an extremely romantic and royal ambience, with an old word charm and walls that are engraved with gold and silver. Our friend arranged a private candlelight dinner for two for us on a secluded balcony at the top of the palace. Outstanding views, live music, fresh flowers and a great Rajasthani cuisine made it simply magical. Go there to fall in love all over again.

travel diaries

Suggest some amazing restaurants there? Suvarna Mahal at the Rambagh Palace is outstanding. Formerly the palace ballroom of the Maharaja of Jaipur, where each guest had their own valet. The palace transcends time, and the restaurant has a magnificent ambience with the best cuisines from all over India. Due to the heavy influx of tourists, there are also several European style cafes including Taruveda and Cafe Coffee Day which I would also recommend. However, no visit to Jaipur is complete without having some of their famous street food especially the lassi from Purana Lassiwala, Rajasthani Thali and the amazing pan kulfi. I still have daily cravings for the food.

Jaipur), The observatory Jantar Mantar (a World Heritage Site), Amer Fort (Amer Palace), Jaigarh Fort, and Nahargarh Fort are a few must-see's.

order from the Amrapali Jaipur store opening in Lahore next month. The city is also very well known for its block printing, stone carving, sculpture, blue pottery, carpets, paintings and handicrafts which you will find of various price ranges and qualities throughout the city. The beauty is that every artist comes from a family who has been doing their respective craft for generations. Besides the jewellery, my favourite buys include two miniatures I purchased from National Awardee Hemming Ramdev, which are done on very old Jaypore (as historically known) stamp papers of 4 annas each.

chunri chunari Chunri is an old favourite that will never go out of style. Worn many different ways, long or short, lengha's or sari's, this classic look is always a hit. Perfect for mehndis, we love how some of these lovely ladies have rocked this colourful look!

All that hard work? It's finally going to start to pay off on Monday. The key to your recent successes has been perseverance. And your ability to communicate well with grumpy people. Your life is filled with a wide variety of characters, but you are one of those people who always knows how to smooth things over. You make even boring tasks a pleasure. Later in the week, turn your communication talents toward your love life. You and that certain someone are drawing closer and closer together these days. You really have an intuition for one another. It's pretty amazing.

You are feeling good and your immediate neighborhood has never looked more beautiful. It's amazing what a little sunlight can do. With your spirits up, you're in the ideal mood to tackle this new challenge in your love life. You and you-know-who are really into each other; that's not the problem. The problem is that, more and more, this romance just doesn't seem to be very practical. A little problem-solving is in order. As well as a frank discussion about the future. Maybe you two are just rushing things. Whatever happens this week, communicate your feelings. Contentment will come this weekend from an unexpected source.

This is not the end of the world. This is just a minor bump in the road. You've been dealing with minor bumps in the road all your life. Besides, the little detours that life sometimes forces you to take often lead to great things. People you wouldn't have met otherwise, for example. You're going to meet someone on Wednesday who, completely out of the blue, lets you know they're really attracted to you. Even if you're not interested, you're going to be hugely flattered. And why shouldn't someone be really attracted to you? You're a rock star. People adore you. Don't forget that.

A group of friends are organizing a dinner party this week, and even though it's not exactly in your honor, it's pretty clear that you are going to be the centerpiece of the night. The thing is, you have this ability to really bring people together. In an unofficial way, you're sort of in charge of the group dynamic. Still, encourage everyone else to bring their own friends into the fold. Take a risk. Meet people who have nothing in common with you. There's not a lot that's more stimulating than getting to know people who swim in totally different waters than you do.

Sometimes you have to focus on the big picture, but not Monday. Monday is all about making sure the little details are taken care of. Later in the week, when some of the finer points have been hammered out, you can take a step back and figure out what this all means in the grander scheme of things. The second half of the week, you're going to be crazy busy with social obligations. You get a lot of energy from spending time with other people, but at a certain point it might all get to be too much. Feel free to opt out of anything you just don't have room for.

On your way to work on Monday, you'll pass a garden or a flower shop or a beautiful tree and it's going to strike you that the world is truly spectacular. It's a spectacle. It's awe-inspiring. Clearly, you're in the mood for love. And love is coming your way this week, although not necessarily in the romantic sense. Expect to reconnect with a great friend Wednesday or Thursday -- someone you haven't had a really great conversation with in a long time. You are constantly calling everyone's attention to the beauty of the outside world. Great friends have the ability to remind you of the beauty of the inside world, too.

This person has been by your side through thick and thin, and chances are they're not going anywhere. This isn't the end of the world. This is just a little snag. And the solution is probably going to require a little compromise on your part. You care about this person and you're willing to make a sacrifice or two. Make sure they know that. A deep conversation is in order later this week. Go into it with an open mind and try not to control the outcome. That's the only way to arrive at a solution you can both be happy with.

sagittarius capricorn 23November/21December

22December/20January

pisces

You have all these big ideas, but you're at a loss when it comes to the finer points in your plans. It's time to start thinking about the details. It's a lot to think about, but you have friends who'd be happy to help. And anyway, asking a friend for a hand might be a great way of reconnecting with them again. As you think about the future, you should also be thinking about the people you're going to want to still have in your life. Putting your energy into those relationships now is a wise investment.

You're in the mood to be wild and frivolous, but that's not what Monday's about. That's not what any of this week is about. There are a couple things you really have to get done. Keep your head down and see them through and, in a couple days, you'll be so happy to have them off your plate. Later in the week, someone you know is going to fly off the handle about a minor thing. The best way to respond? Hear them out. Sure, there's a chance they're overreacting, but no one likes to be told that. Be the friend you'd want them to be if your roles were reversed.

The more you look into your own family's history, the more you find out about yourself. History is such an abstraction it can be hard to get a handle on -- and everyone has their own version of what's happened in the past -- but it's fascinating and, these days, eerily relevant. Tuesday or Wednesday, an intellectual conversation with someone is going to take an unexpectedly romantic turn. If you're single, go for it. If you're not single, well, consider what this might mean about your current relationship. You might want to spend the weekend organizing your feelings and figuring out your next move.

The week is going to begin on a romantic note. In fact, it might begin with a romantic note -- a poem, a letter, something like that. It's so flattering to see someone's feelings for you written out on paper, isn't it? And so rare these days. You're going to be completely distracted and overwhelmed, but it'll feel great. Later in the week you're going to be able to really indulge this new romance, even if that simply means staring out the window and thinking about it for hours on end. Sometimes that's the best way to spend an afternoon.

24July/23August

Your career is all you can think about Monday. There's a lot going on right now, and your reputation at work is at stake. Do this well and you will really impress everyone. The key is to be flexible but focused -- a tricky balance, but you have a couple people you can rely on if things get nuts. After work the next couple days, do whatever you can to take your mind off the stress. You have to play just as hard as you work, as the saying goes. Toward the end of the week, when all your efforts start to pay off, you're going to feel like a million bucks.
