the fashion list!
This look is glamorous yet edgy and funky. A bright banarsi silk jacket, a cut work gold wide belt and gold dhoti shalwar is bold and sure to make a statement....Hair loosely held back, green mascara and pink lipstick was all I needed to complete the look.
ready, set, style! th is week k huban omer k han wears four farida hasan ou tfits and makes them her very own.
Farida Hasan is synonymous with floral embroideries so how could I not choose this white loose kurta with multicolour flowers and a cutwork border. I opted for these Aruna Seth nude ones. Shameen added a bright lipstick and with a Splitends blow-dry, I felt like Spring!

I paired this boho-chic tye-n-dye shirt with wide chikan pants and fluorescent Valentino flats. With the loose waves and Shameen adding blue to my eyes, I had an overall fun look.
This black and white tunic with wrap pants is my absolute favourite. It's casual, yet chic! I paired it with black spikey Loubiton flats. Shameen kept the makeup natural and I opted for side twists in my hair.

we speak to the dynamic duo, fatimeh kashif and zehra hasan, the owners of lahore's newest crossfit studio, the warehouse.
Tell us a bit about your background? F: I am a lawyer by profession and am originally from Karachi. I moved to Lahore eight years ago and initially I was very unsettled and constantly on the move. However, it starting feeling like home once I had my daughter and made some good friends. Z: I am an Intellectual Property lawyer by profession and am from Lahore. I stopped practicing law once I had my daughter. I started working out to shed my pregnancy weight and enjoyed it so much that instead of going back into the practice of Law, I decided to open my own fitness studio. It's only been over a month since The Warehouse opened doors and it has 48

already gained quite a reputation. How does this make you feel? We are overwhelmed by people’s response. It was our dream to spread our love for Crossfit and we are really excited about how much our clients are enjoying it. It has been an amazing first month and we look forward to welcoming more people at the studio! Reflecting back to when you opened would you consider yourself well-prepared for owning a business? What were your strengths and weaknesses? It takes a lot of hard work to turn your idea into a business. While planning our business we were aware of the amount of hours we would need to put in and how
no matter where you are all you think about is work and what needs to be done. We are both control freaks and like to be organized, and together we tend to make decisions very quickly. However, no matter how well-prepared one is, when you take the plunge, you do face a few teething issues which we managed to overcome. Our strength lies in the fact that we feel comfortable airing our objections to each other and neither one takes anything to heart which is very important in a partnership and successful decision-making. We have learnt a lot from our experiences while setting up to running the studio, and the learning cycle continues. What sets you apart? F: We aim to provide a fun environment with a hardcore workout regimen that varies every day. We want our clients to enjoy what they do but also produce results. Losing weight and getting into shape should not be a boring for anyone. We believe, if you are taking out one hour in the day just for yourself, it should be worth it! Z: Our attention to detail in all workouts is what sets us apart. We take great care in making sure that people have the right form even if they are doing a basic squat. We invest time in our clients learning about why they are doing a particular workout or why it is important that they maintain the right form. We want to make sure that no one walks out of our studio with any injury and that they actually become stronger and fitter and not just thinner. How did you learn about crossfit and what made it so appealing for you? From none other than Abuzar! We both started working out together with AZ and it was a breath of fresh air, in a world of the same old exercise routines. The fact that you do new routines every day, learn to use new tools every day and challenge your body made it so appealing to us. We obviously fell in love with it so much that we decided to open up a studio in Gulberg and who better to have on board with us than AZ- the crossfit guru. What would you say to someone starting Crossfit for the first time? Once you start, there is no turning back. It is a lifestyle and a few months from now you will thank yourself that you started today. What helps you get the most out of your Crossfit workouts?
F: Motivation and focus Z: A good night’s sleep and drinking lots of water. Why Crossfit over all the other forms of exercise? Z: Crossfit is based on the core movements of life. It is constantly varied functional movements performed at relatively high intensity. All the crossfit tools help enhance your fitness so that you may perform better in everyday life and do more than you have ever been able to do. I had a really weak back when I started but crossfit has helped me strengthen it and am stronger than I have ever been in my life. F: All other workouts I have ever done in my life have gotten monotonous, however, crossfit regime would change every day and I have really enjoyed challenging new muscle groups. As they say, what doesn’t challenge you doesn’t change you. What about this business frustrates you the most? F: People’s neverending need to get a good bargain: getting the most in the least! It’s not vegetables we are selling. Z: When women want quick results! If you want your body to look good you need to put in the work. Exercise needs to be a constant in your life – not something you do for 30 days to lose weight. What's the most rewarding part about opening a crossfit gym? F: When you see people share the same passion for Crossfit as you. Z: When you tell your clients that this will change your life and a month later they come back and say yes, it has! Do you see yourself doing this in the next ten years? F: Definitely! I am obsessed about working out! I feel odd if I even miss a day. Z: Of course! What's next for The Warehouse? We have a lot of amazing stuff in the pipeline. The Warehouse is only in its first phase. We plan on changing people’s outlook on fitness and are planning on introducing some more specialized classes. We are particularly excited about one of our new projects, which we will reveal very soon. 2016

T
he Little Eatery immediately strikes those who have a knack for travelling as a little European Cafe in the heart of the capital. The menu resembles the same concept. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with dishes simple in sound but astounding in taste the little European cafe is bustling with chatter as tables fill up to munch on flatbread pizzas, velvety soups with in-house buns, melt-inyour mouth paninis and appetizers like the scrumptious smokey chicken strips that are good to go just on their own.
The brick walled interior lined up with great reads and framed images of Hollywood legends that have passed is encompassed in French windows. The seating of oak tables and chairs and ambient lights wrap up the whole theme quite successfully. You can choose to enjoy your meal in fresh air outside on the patio or choose the indoors where there’s classy vintage decor and scrumptious bread baskets adorning the space. You’ll find an avid reader sipping on coffee while devouring the Eatery’s books (and cakes) outside, under The Little Eatery’s stunning French-themed balcony on their own; or see a family of four along with Casper (the Corgi) out for a nice afternoon lunch here. The ambience is merry and as one of the customer’s put it “always feels like a vacation esp. on a sunny spring afternoon”. OUR MENU PICKS: For a light appetizer combo we recommend you to go for a bowl of Cream of Mushroom soup that is defined by a satisfying texture and undeniable warmth. It comes with in-house baked buns that mark the true skill of the staff in the kitchens. Combine this order with the Chilli Wings served with the special fiery rrizzle and Smokey Chicken Strips served with the Honey Creamer Dip and you’ll have a complete meal that you’ll be smiling about for days to come. If you’re looking to enjoy a two-course dinner with your peeps ask for their flat-bread Peperonni Pizza that can drift your taste buds away to Italy. Finish the night off with their molten lava cake which comes with a scoopful of vanilla gelatto. Our honest opinion is it trumps any molten lava cake served in the capital. We’re very sure. The star in our opinion is the Nutella French Toast Roll it redefines the French toast and takes the cinceot up a notch. It’s the absolute comfort food you’ll desire on a pleasant day or a rainy one. The flavours seem to put a smile on absolutely everyone’s face. It’s our winner.

THE MAN BEHIND THE CONCEPT: Asad Niazi, the mastermind behind this little haven, is a graduate of Hotel Management from Ihtti in Neuchatel Switzerland. His venture is a true labour of love and is visible in every little aspect of The Little Eatery. From the texture consistencies of the soup to the 20’s Hollywood B&W frameworks on the wall. You’ll find him bustling around the eatery all day ensuring impeccable customer service and diligently monitoring all platters being served to ensure they are par excellence. THE CHEF DE CUISINE: Chef Zafar, is The Little Eatery’s Head Chef and Asad’s pick to operate the heart of the venture; the kitchen. After trying all the delicacies served it’s hard to question that choice. The man’s experience shines through on each platter. Having had a successful career handling kitchen’s at Okra, Aylanto, Pompeii and Tiffany’s, Chef Zafar joined Asad’s team at The Little Eatery and created recipes condensing his expertise into food that keeps you coming back.

So all that buzz about Netflix being available in Pakistan and you're still feeling like it has nothing great to offer? I have literally never been happier because well it's no surprise that cable TV in our country isn't quite serving the as the best form of entertainment at the moment and quite frankly we're all tired of flipping the same channels.
Why I'm a huge Netflix fan? 1. It is in fact streaming the movie but it will work super smooth with no interruptions even with the worst internet connections. And in HD. 2. It knows which movies I like and it picks out the best ones to suit my taste/mood and its always spot on. 3. It literally has an amazing variety to set the tone to an end of any kind of day. Whether it's a-girly-tub-of-icecream-in-bed kind of a day or simply a date night, You can count on Netflix!
Here's a list of some of the greatest movies I've watched and loved since I've subscribed to Netflix. Presumably, these would either be on your list of "must watch" or may simply serve as a reminder for your next movie night!
For nights where you want to feel grounded as well as inspired.
Shawshank Redemption The movie profoundly depicts hope, friendship and redemption in all it's true form. If you're feeling down or depressed this movie is definitely going to make you feel better. A simple film with an everlasting message. Feeling like solving a mystery?
Shut ter Isl and This Leonardo DiCaprio starrer film is bound to keep you involved and on edge until the very end. This is a movie that will mess with you and keep you excited throughout while also scaring you without having fancy villains or sadistic gruesomeness thrown all over. A story about 6 MIT students and their professor who count cards on the black jack table in Vegas and split the cut to benefit each ones shortcomings. This movie is actually way better than it sounds. Based on a true story this movie is surely an entertainment and doesn't need someone to have much knowledge in gambling to understand it but it will get you either interested in Black Jack or will seriously want you to plan that trip to Vegas you've always thought about. (Or not.)

Vantage Point.
An interesting story about the attempted assignation of the American President in Spain shown in many different perspectives that reveal and lead to what actually happened. The fact that the movie is actually an 8 part puzzle and you can probably guess at some times make it all the more fun to watch. An easy non complicated action and thriller for everyone to enjoy. Family night?
Man on Fire
Exquisite direction and flawless acting makes this movie a perfect one to watch with the entire jing bang of the house. It touches some emotional chords and keeps you interested and guessing throughout while also staying hopeful for a good ending as it teaches you every kidnapping isn't really what it seems like. 52

Catch me if you can Inspired by a real story, this one is sure to keep a smile on your face throughout while you watch Leonardo brilliantly lie and scam his way through careers money and parents. A nice and funny movie, nothing to heavy which will surely please the whole fambam. Chilled out night with friends where you just want to laugh so much you cry?
The Dictator The movie has Sacha Baron Cohen playing a heroic oppressive dictator who stands against democracy. I doubt there is a soul in the world who hasn't yet seen this movie or at least has seen but hasn't loved it. One of the most hilarious adult comedies which you can watch again and again to the point where you'll know the dialogues by heart.
Horrible Bosses Maybe you shouldn't watch this movie after a bad day at work... As the three friends plot to kill their horrible bosses the story gets more and more surprising. The best part of the movie is definitely Charlie Day (character from Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia show). This movie is a great summer flick and highly recommended by us! Girls night In?
New Years Eve Remember Love Actually? Well think of it as an upgrade. This multi starrer happy ending sort of a movie, shot in Manhattan New York, one of the greatest cities of the world, will leave you fluttery, happy and romantic. It's a multiple story movie which gives hope of a better year while also realising what one needs to be grateful for in the year that has passed.
the royals
A chick flick about a lucky girl meets a mystery boy, boy meets girl, boy steels all of her luck and the girl struggles to find the mystery guy and all her luck back. A love story with a twist- just what you're looking for on a girls night.

My style is very classic-chic. I work in fashion so thankfully I don't have to stick to a corporate attire. I'm usually dressed very casual during the day. I stick to basics and top my outfit with a bomber, moto jacket or a scarf. I'm always in my comfy white sneakers or Chanel espadrilles. By night I'm mostly in neutrals, wearing a pair of sexy heels, a voluminous blowout and gorgeous accessories.
Maison Kayser, NY I have a few favorites. I usually grab a quick decaf latte and croissant from this casual french bakery called Maison Kayser. They have the most delicious, cute little raspberry tarts. For a more decadent tea and pastry experience I adore Lady Mendl's tea salon. They offer a 5 course menu that includes an assortment of delectable tea sandwiches, unbeatable scones with a bottomless supply of clotted cream.

Cafe Mogador, New York Since New York has a huge brunch culture I will admit brunch is my favorite meal, so I will share a few favorite brunch spots. My husband and I are obsessed with this Moroccan place called Cafe Mogador. I've never had a better harrisa sauce. Top that spicy, tangy sauce with any brunch dish and you will be satisfied. Jacks Wife Freda is another chic-hipster hotspot. Their fresh cantaloupe juice, Mediterranean breakfast and malva pudding are to die for.
