fashion pakistan week is coming! #fpw15 MALIHA AZIZ What are you planning on wearing to the red carpet? I plan on going street chic, in a fun but glam way. I'm really looking forward to pairing some very fabulous Farah Talib Aziz statement jackets with an edgy ripped look. What hair trends are you excited to show off? I changed the length of my hair recently so I'm super excited to pull off some fun hairstyles. I'm loving the voluminous bedhead mid-length look. It's got an effortlesschic feel!

SADAF MUNEER JALIL • What are you planning on wearing to the red carpet? Definitely something from Sana Safinaz!

Lip colour of the season you will definitely be wearing? I'm not a bold lip kind of person so I'll stick by my favourite Dior Rose Mambo lipstick.

• What hair trends are you excited to show off? Might just go with a straighter look instead of my regular voluminous blowdry. • Lip colour of the season you will definitely be wearing? Trying out new lipstick by MAC called Meher. Although my niece Sasha just gifted me a purple lipstick from MAC - power my spirit.. Not sure I'm adventurous enough to pull it off!

Which shoes will we spot on you on the red carpet? I've been adamant on loyally standing by my pointed Louboutin pumps this whole season (which I've embarrassingly gathered in every colour!). I'm thinking of mixing it up with a super fun statement pair of shoes this time.

• Which shoes will we spot on you on the red carpet? Probably my red Alaia heels. • Which handbag or clutch will you be sporting? Fendi monster clutch - it's fun and quirky!

Which handbag or clutch will you be sporting? I'm really into small chained bags that can be worn casually as crossbodies or side slung for a night out. I'm also really looking forward on sporting our new FTA clutch bag collection!

ANUSHEE HASHWANI • What are you planning on wearing on the red carpet? I'm all for pastels and metallics this season. Nothing bold and no prints for me! • What hair trends are you excited to show off? Sleek straight with a middle part. • Lip colour of the season you will definitely be wearing? This season I've been playing up with MAC Nice N" Spicy lipliner and Kinda Sexy lipstick. 24

• Which shoes will we spot on you on the red carpet? I'll be the one wearing lace-ups. • Which handbag or clutch will you be sporting? My Alexander McQueen clutch. I love the knuckle duster top which make me feel like a bad ass!

MAIRA PAGGANWALA • What are you planning on wearing to the red carpet? I'm thinking Élan, Delphi and hopefully jeans and a tee -unless I get told off for being too underdressed! • What hair trends are you excited to show off? I don't quite follow hair trends. But I recently dyed my hair so I'm excited about showing that off but unfortunately it's not as much of a change as I'd like! • Lip colour of the season you will definitely be wearing? Crimson • Which shoes will we spot on you on the red carpet? Stan smiths and my go-to cut out boots if all else fails. • Which handbag or clutch will you be sporting? Depends on the outfit, really. I'm feeling my white Chanel boy bag and my Alexander McQueen Union Jack clutch!

SAHAR ZAFAR • What are you planning on wearing on the red carpet? I'm finding it very hard to let go of crop tops and I'm going to substitute my ripped jeans with a high waisted pencil skirt. The designer will of course be Élan! • What hair trends are you excited to show off? I'm extremely boring when it comes to hair. I never experiment. I'll stick to my bed head look. • Lip colour of the season you will definitely be wearing? Believe it or not, I've just discovered Ruby Woo by MAC. It's so fresh and lively. If it fails me last minute, I'll stick to oxblood lips. • Which shoes will we spot on you on the red carpet? Definitely my most comfortable pair.

MAHA AHMAD HUSSAIN • What are you planning on wearing to the red carpet? Sana Safinaz • What hair trends are you excited to show off? High ponytail (my all time favourite and usual go-to style) • Lip colour of the season you will definitely be wearing? I'm yet to try the "Berry Lips", doubt I'll be experimenting during Fashion Week so I'll be sticking to my usual reds or pinks • Which shoes will we spot on you on the red carpet? I'm super excited to sport my Christian Louboutin Fringed sandals. • Which handbag or clutch will you be sporting? That's a decision I'll make once I'm ready and about to walk out the door.

SARAH TABANI • What are you planning on wearing to the red carpet? Definitely something from Sania Maskatiya's fall/winter collection. • What hair trends are you excited to show off? I tend not to follow hair trends. My go-to look is a sleek blow out. • Lip colour of the season you will definitely be wearing? These days I'm obsessed with 'Kinda Sexy' by MAC. • Which shoes will we spot on you on the red carpet? I love my Manolo Chaos leather ankle straps. They go with everything! • Which handbag or clutch will you be sporting? I love borrowing my Mum's vintage bags.

• Which handbag or clutch will you be sporting? It will definitely be my go- to black and gold Zara bag which all my friends have told me to get rid of because I've been carrying it around for five years.

planes, trains & automobiles

Travelling is great fun. You get to explore a new place, meet new people and get wiser! We want to know more and will share with you exciting travel stories from a few special people in our new section, planes, trains & automobiles! Where did you choose to go and why? I went to New Delhi, India for an exhibition which was organized by Shaan-e-Pakistan. It was a two-day event for exhibitors and couturiers from both Pakistan and India to showcase their collections. It was held at The Grand Hotel and was open for the general public. On the last day, there was a fashion show with big names from both the nations displaying their collections on the ramp including Ali Zeeshan, Asifa Nabeel, Saira Shakira, Umar Sayeed, Anju Modi, Rinku Sobti and Rakesh Agarwal.

of LE’ VOGUE and their marketing team. We crossed the Wagah border by foot, took a bus to Amritsar and then travelled by train to New Delhi.

Who did you travel with? I went through LE’ VOGUE which is a multi-brand fashion house in Lahore that promotes emerging talent and gives upcoming designers such platforms in terms of international exposure. I was accompanied by other budding designers and the two partners

What are the best shopping spots there? I visited GK market! They had some really nice and cheap street shopping there. I got myself a pair of chikankaari palazzos for only 600 INR! I came across some gorgeous gold-plated jewelry there as well. Some people visited Chandni Chowk and they

Where did you stay? We stayed at The Grand Hotel in New Delhi, the venue of the exhibition so it was easier to wake up, stuff yourself with breakfast downstairs and head out to the exhibition area to set up our stall by ten every morning.

Suggest some amazing restaurants there? One interesting restaurant we went to was this place called Punjabi By Nature. They served desi cuisine and we tried their Gol Guppa Shots! It was a very interesting combo of vodka and gol gappas. Go easy on your first mouthful though.

Finally, any tips? A local told us on the train that girls shouldn’t go out alone after 7pm for safety reasons, either travel in large groups or have male friends or family members accompanying them. Also, make sure you get your Pakistani currency converted into INR (preferably) or dollars from Pakistan and don't wait till you reach India. Thirdly, some shop keepers give you super VIP treatment when you tell them you're from Pakistan such as discounts on your shopping. Lastly, their rickshaws are amazingly cheap!

Tell us about the sights no one should miss out on. We had a die hard Bollywood fan with us who wouldn't have let us live had we not visited this very famous landmark - India Gate. We also went to one of the largest Sikh gurdawaras in Delhi, Bangla Sahib. It was a beauty! All white and gold from the outside! Suggest places for a perfect night out. Definitely hauz-e-khaas if you're with friends! It's like a really long street filled with clubs and some really nice street partying for young people. We just loved everyone's energy because people park their cars literally anywhere, be it the middle of the street, and start dancing from that point onwards outside till they find a club they want to go to.

What can you do over there to relax and unwind? Three of their best luxury shopping malls are near The Grand Hotel. I'm sure there are a dozen other things to do there to relax and unwind but since this was sort of a short business trip so this is

the best suggestion I can give. The names of the three malls were DLF Emporio, Promenade and Ambience.

Monday and Tuesday will be troubling for you, but not so much that you can't deal with life. Try to avoid signing or agreeing to anything, and things will turn out all right. Midweek is much better as you feel a surge of energy that just won't quit. Almost any move you make will turn out to be the right one. You might find yourself drawn toward art or highbrow culture. The weekend will bring finances and a nostalgia for times past to the forefront of your mind. This could be a great time for shopping -- if you can afford it.

The first few days of the week will be filled with friends -- and their needs. You won't mind at all, and will actually notice your relationships grow more rewarding. The middle of the week might zip past you, but don't pick up your pace to try to catch up, especially if it's your birthday. That deal that seems too good to be true probably is. The weekend will be fun and filled with good times and good people. Taking it easy is your best bet, but anything you choose to do will work out well. Money shouldn't be a problem.

Your job situation will be slightly confusing on Monday, and the situation won't resolve itself for a day or two. Someone you can ordinarily count on for clarity will become obscure. Soon the fog will lift, and you'll have more good advice than you'll know what to do with. Get organized and see if you can move up to a new level. You might have to get the ball rolling, but others will help once you get things started. The weekend will bring challenges, but they'll mostly be opportunities to discover hidden strengths.

Monday and Tuesday bring a tidal surge of tremendous energy that help you move forward on largescale efforts, but it may also keep you from paying close attention to small details. The middle of the week sharpens your mind and your focus, so you should be able to catch anything you missed earlier. Be careful not to say too much before you've thought things through. The weekend should be intensely social for you and allow you to follow up on introductions and suggestions from earlier in the week.

Lie low early in the week; you'll need to really watch it when handling money or considering purchases. Do your homework, but make sure to also listen to your gut. New and exciting information comes your way on Thursday or Friday that should dramatically improve your mood. It might be a good time for a celebration. Job worries might keep you up late over the weekend, especially if you're struggling with an ethical dilemma. Try to rise above the situation, and you might find an unexpected answer.

People will disappoint you on Monday and Tuesday, but try not to let it show. As much as you'd like to set them straight, there's no way they'll be able to take your criticism at this point. You'll feel invigorated and somewhat above the situation by midweek, and you may likely find an exciting new sense of direction and purpose. Try to rein in the impulse to spend like crazy; it will pass. Social engagements over the weekend will be more harmonious than you had hoped, and could result in deeper relationships.

The first two days of this week will be filled with interruptions and distractions that threaten to keep you from completing your daily tasks. Try to lie low and ride it out. Wednesday and Thursday will focus on your important relationships, and you'll find yourself feeling quite strongly. If you're unhappy, look more deeply at things, and you might find that it's a matter of perspective. You'll feel more attractive than usual over the weekend, but don't let that tempt you into being stingy with your time and attention. Give everyone their due.

The early part of the week is a great time to make your dreams come true -- especially if those dreams involve love or romance. Don't be shy about creating new opportunities for yourself. You'll want to take some kind of direct action on Thursday and Friday, but make sure there's at least an element of generosity in your motivation or you'll risk looking mean-spirited. What you do this weekend will affect your close friends and relations, so try to be as open as possible with them.

Early in the week don't spend a nickel, and leave your credit cards at home. Even if you're not maxed out at the moment, you're about to run into a great opportunity that you'll need some ready cash to exploit. It could come as early as Wednesday, when you discover something new that's considerably more exciting than anything you've experienced in a while. Parents or more distant relatives will play a role in the weekend's activities, and you might have to deal with their weirdness in a whole new way.

It may not be your birthday, but it could very well feel like it on Monday -- and Tuesday also. Treat yourself well, and others will follow suit. Be careful of getting too self-absorbed though, because by midweek you'll find yourself surrounded by confusing signs and gestures that will leave you struggling to understand what people mean. Everything will become clear over the weekend, so don't worry too much until then. Writing will be especially helpful for you.

Monday and Tuesday will be slow-moving and maybe a little awkward for you. Be careful with valuables, as you're at high risk of losing things until Wednesday. At that time, you'll feel an influx of strong and active energy that will cause you to seek out fun in all its forms. Romance is waiting for you, if you're interested. The weekend will be great if you narrow your focus to the small tasks that keep your life humming along. It's a good time to communicate with a partner.

Your creativity will be unleashed Monday and Tuesday, so make sure to get it all down. Writing will be especially appealing, though any form of expression should suit you just fine. Some regularly scheduled event in the middle of the week will put your home and work life at odds with each other, but you'll make the right decision in the end. Over the weekend, you'll feel a lovely sense of calm that should help you with any difficult discussions you've been putting off. It's also a great time to go bargain-hunting.
