SEHER TAREEN Seher Tareen debuted at PSFW 2014 in Bank Alfalah’s Rising Talent Show. The luxury prêt collection titled “Neo Nouveau” finds inspiration in the Art Nouveau Movement of the early twentieth century and specifically in the select work of Austrian artist Gustav Klimt. Klimt’s iconic painting ‘The Kiss’ and ‘Lady with a Fan’ are both featured in the collection in the form of figures that have been hand embroidered on statement pieces such as jackets and dresses. Brand Philosophy/Mission Statement
brand p h ilos o p h y
direction of Zain Aziz, a trained and passionate mechanical engineer, Bareeze Man began its foray into Eastern and Western clothing, both luxury and casual, in 2010. With a permanent undertone of ‘performance meets style’, and a boldness to constantly innovate, it has quickly shot up to be recognized as one of the finest menswear brands in Pakistan today.
Our mission is to pair the finest materials and design techniques to create comfortable, contemporary global clothing for the modern man. Painstaking attention to the detail sets the Bareeze Man apart. We believe every stitch, every fold, and every cut should have a purpose. No feature must exist without intention. A perfect harmony of form and function, without substituting one for the other. Proudly made in Pakistan, a Bareeze Man outfit is not just clothes, it is a well- s prin g 2 0 1 4 collecti on tailored statement. Planes, trains and automobiles have always been every boy’s fascination. Inspired by Old World means of transport, our collection is set against the image of a man who is acbeginnin gs Bareeze Man was borne out of experimentation with Ba- customed to luxury, but not encumbered by it. He travels with reeze’s high-quality embroidered fabric. Under the creative both style and purpose, without forgoing one for the other. 44

Each piece in the collection embodies a moment from a bygone era, blended with modern day sophistication; classic ruggedness combined with panache. The complete line pays homage to a time when the road was long and uncertain, yet a man’s thirst for adventure made it all the more irresistible to him. Our ethos: Travel intensely, but without compromising speed or personal style. Self-discovery is a luxury, but one that should be unashamedly indulged.

In traditional Eastern wear, this year’s Spring line includes short sherwanis, bold and colourful kurtas, and fun yet sophisticated waistcoats. Vintage motorcycles of the 50’s have inspired our western line, featuring motorcycle jackets, padded linen trousers and laser-cut leather vests. Cool summer hues of green, cream, khaki, blue and orange are prevalent in the collection.
news
We’re set to take on the international arena with our e-commerce website, to be launched at the end of April, 2014. With its clean design, purposeful and classy, the website is befitting the brand’s inherent philosophy. Customers in Pakistan and anywhere in the world will get access to cutting edge menswear. It will also showcase other special projects that Bareeze Man is working on, beyond clothes.

My mehndi was a small, intimate event. I opted for a colourful chunri outfit, complimenting the décor. Seemi Jamot gave me a Hyderabadi neck with gota work on the shirt paired with a chooridaar. I’ve always believed that the bride should look natural on her mehndi which is why I did my own my makeup, keeping it to a bare minimum. Overall, I had a great time dancing around in this outfit.
Being a bride is possibly one of the most difficult processes one goes through! We plan our wedding day and what we will wear years before the actual wedding. Meticulous planning goes into each look from the colour combinations and embellishment of the outfits to the jewellery, hair and makeup. Here we feature some of our favourite brides and show you what they wore to their special days. Find out what they have to say!

I always knew I wanted to be a traditional bride on my big day and Dr. Haroon made that happen. I wore a farshi gharara and a long shirt, full of intricate zardozi and kora work. The gharara is a two tone combination, which breaks the monotony of the red colour. I went all out with the jewellery since that’s one day no one can judge you for being overdressed! The jewellery is all from India. The makeup was done by Shamain who gave me a dark red lip with subtle makeup overall.

Shehla Chatoor gave me a conventional yet contemporary designed trousseau for this day. The colour was deliberately chosen to be a nude silvery tone with a contrast of green. The dress is covered with heavy embellishment all over the shirt, dupatta and gharara with jamawar lining. There was no fuss about the jewellery since it was obvious only diamonds would look best with this outfit. This ensemble is one of Shehla’s most popular outfits amongst brides and rightly so. Shamain gave me a totally different look for this day going for smokey eyes and pale lipstick.

Look out for losing it on Monday, whether it’s your keys or your cool. Things may not be lined up quite to your liking now, but the stars are shifting in your favor as the day goes on, and over the next couple of days good things are occurring! Taking the initiative and maybe a romantic risk looks really, really good on you now. Thursday and Friday are more about sustained effort across all areas of life. What do you want to work toward? And this weekend, stay in touch — the more communication (both long-distance and up close), the better!
You’ll do your best work and have the most fun with a partner or a team as the week begins! The support is great, conversations are revealing and someone just might keep you from making a mistake - major or minor, professional or personal. Then around Thursday or Friday, the stars send extra awesomeness your way. Delve into your interests, strut your stuff and act on your feelings - you’re highly productive and highly attractive now. The productive part may dissolve when the weekend comes, but you’ve still got a way with understanding others and a way with words. Use them!
The stars are on your side as the week begins - especially when it comes to finding creative ways to take that next step in work, love, personal growth or good karma. Let those around you, particularly love interests, in on your thoughts and hopes; their ideas and support will come in handy. Then, it’s your inner resources that you’ll need around Thursday and Friday, and you’ll be surprised by your own strength! Figure out what’s for real and what really matters to you now. This weekend, you’ll be flitting around and having fun, but with your heart in the right place.
Take time during a busy Monday to touch base with somebody who matters to you, you know who it should be. Your interpersonal instincts are spot on right now, whereas over the next couple of days, your vivid imagination or strong feelings are liable to get the best of you! Now you’ll want to touch base with someone who’s a good sounding board and reality check. And for best results starting Thursday and lasting all through the weekend, don’t be shy or retiring. Life and love demand that you take an active part now. Perhaps by acting on an out-there idea?
leo
virgo

Taking things at face value means you’re only getting part of the story, especially as this week gets going. Moreover, once you start to dig in — finding more info, asking more questions (some of yourself) — you’ll find you’re really involved with and invested in the learning process. Then around Thursday and Friday, you’ll learn most and feel best by staying low-key. Don’t overdo it — going to extremes won’t get you where you wanna be. Some amped-up brainpower this weekend will definitely help you on your way, though. Enjoy the trip while anticipating the destination!
Supposedly, digits don’t lie and money talks, but as the week begins there’s a lot more to finances and figures than meets the eye. Be extra-sure that you know what you’re getting yourself into. Thursday and Friday are all about interpersonal matters, and if you put your mind to it, all kinds of relationships can flourish beautifully now. Look to make values-based connections — call it mutual soul! And say what’s on your mind now, because this weekend you’re just not quite silver-tongued. In fact, look out for putting your foot in your mouth!
Hang in there, baby! Life’s got its ups and downs as the week begins, and sudden altitude changes may leave you not quite knowing what’s what. Keep your cool, and when in doubt, do a little favor or two for someone else. It improves the overall mood, and takes the focus off of you! Starting Thursday, it’s all balancing out nicely if the stars have their say. From now all through the weekend things are looking up. Friends, sharing of all sorts and even love abound, maybe because you’re so willing to look within and reach out.
You just might surprise yourself with your own brilliance on Monday — that’s how good you are now. But beware of a tendency to want to tangle over the next couple days. Choose what you’re going to fight for carefully, making sure that the desired end result is really worth it. Around Thursday and Friday, though, a little discord might actually be a healthy thing. A difference of opinion, handled considerately, can bring you and a certain somebody closer. And when the weekend comes, the more detailoriented you can be, the better. It’s not just beneficial at work, you know!
aquarius
pisces
You’re a real people person on Monday, with a winning way about you both at work and in more personal affairs. How exciting! But almost everything is likely to take a little extra effort over the next couple of days. Just do your best not to be too hard on yourself or let stress get the best of you. Then on Thursday and Friday, the values you bring to any given situation are invaluable. Let ‘em know exactly how you feel.
