Always focused on innovation, PAL has since expanded its scope and is now the first stop for families, schools and organisations that wish to expose scholars to quality educational experiences. Our educational products target scholars ages 0100 and include online reading clubs, summer clinics, teacher training and small and large group tutoring in five main areas. What sets us apart? Our individualised educational solutions are research based and are guided by the universal design for learning approach. We've found that this improves the learning experiences of all scholars.
Pennegan Academy of Learning (PAL) was founded in 2006 in response to the need for quality individualised education for struggling adolescent readers in the Caribbean. You know, those students who 'slipped' through the primary school system without having their educational needs addressed. We began as a mother and daughter team who volunteered services to schools and community groups because we were deeply concerned about these young readers.
OUR STORY
awaken hope
Social entrepreneurship is concerned with providing a platform for creative and innovative persons to provide answers to societal problems. The focus is not on leaving ‘everything’ to the government, but on attacking the societal problem by getting their solution ‘out there’. ‘Buy-in’ starts to come when the wider society is able to see that the innovation can benefit the target market.
Pennegan Academy of Learning’s core activity is to provide high quality educational solutions that will benefit ill-served learners (ages 0- 18 years old) within their general education placement.
