Making your booking

Please contact our events office, Monday to Friday, who will be happy to discuss your requirements and make a booking for you. Bookings can be made over the telephone, but need to be confirmed by a non-refundable deposit of £10.00 per person along with a written confirmation. The hotel will release provisional bookings after 10 days if both a confirmation and deposit have not been received. Final payment is required at least one month prior to the date of the booking; this also being a non-refundable final payment. Cheques

Should be made payable to ‘The Carlton Mitre Hotel’ For personal cheques – please print your name, address, cheque guarantee card number and expiry date on the reverse. No more than five cheques can be processed per deposit paid. Cheques will not be accepted within 28 days of your event. Bank transfers

Terms of booking All provisional bookings must be confirmed within 10 days, with a ÂŁ10.00 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit; otherwise the hotel will release the booking. All bookings must be paid in full one month prior to the event date. All party accommodation rates are subject to availability, and the rates only apply to rooms booked for the night of your event. When minimum numbers are booked for a function, those numbers are the ones charged. Anything above the minimum number will be charged accordingly. A credit card must be supplied by the organiser prior to the event to cover any extra purchases made on the day. The hotel reserves the right to cancel bookings or transfer the date at any point and refund any monies paid. Where alcoholic drinks are included in the price, the management reserves the right to refuse service. Menus are subject to change without prior notification due to circumstances beyond our control. Where there is a menu choice, these must be given to the hotel at least 2 week prior to the event for all guests, otherwise the hotel reserves the right to make menu choices for the guests. Should there be a decrease in party numbers, payments (including deposit), cannot be offered against food, beverages or accommodation. Should an organiser like to set up an account bar, this is by prior arrangement only. Once the arrangements have been agreed, it will be understood that the charges will be payable by the organiser, irrespective of the account being signed and checked at the end of the event. The hotel reserves the right to close the private bar, without prior warning, if demand is not met. Persons under 18 will not be permitted to the evening Christmas Parties.

Christmas Party Nights Pavilion ‘Join a Party’ Nights are only available on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays throughout December. A minimum number restriction of 70 guests apply to Christmas Party Nights. In the event that this number restriction is not met, the hotel reserves the right to move the party to another date, or use an alternative function room. All meals are served at 7.45pm prompt (unless otherwise stated). We are unable to delay food service for late comers. Groups of fewer than 10 may have to share a table with other parties. Groups of over 10 are catered for on more than 1 table. Bookings for the party nights are not private functions, and will be shared with other booking unless confirmed in writing from the hotel. On all party nights the bar closes at 12.00 midnight. Under no circumstances can extras on the night be invoiced back to the company or cheques accepted as payment.
