✤ HeP FiVe Ferris wHeel

One of the key landmarks of Umeda, Osaka, the bright red Ferris Wheel is a delightful attraction. From the highest point of the ferris wheel, 106 metres above ground, passengers can see all the way out to the Akashi Strait. The Ferris Wheel is situated next to HEP Five, a shopping complex with speciality shops catered for young people. From an air-conditioned gondola at the top of the wheel 106 metres above the ground, you can get a splendid view of downtown, of Osaka harbour, and all the way out to Mount Ikoma. Adjacent to HEP Five is HEP Navio, a fashionable shopping complex that also features a Cineplex and restaurants.

✤ Dotonbori

The lively entertainment hub of Osaka, Dotonbori is Osaka’s most famous tourist destination and is renowned for its gaudy neon lights, extravagant signage, and the multitude of restaurants and bars it features. The name “Dotonbori” generally refers both to the Dotonbori Canal and to Dotonbori Street which runs parallel to the canal’s southern bank. The history of this area dates back to 1612 when a merchant by the name of Yasui Doton invested all of his personal capital in an ambitious local development project. Dotonbori has an alluring charm due to the liveliness visitors experience whilst visiting the area. The large, colourful signboards are beautiful to see during the nightime.

✤ tsutenkaku ower

Popularly known as 'The Eiffel Tower of Osaka', the tower features an observatory on the 5th floor, 87.5 metres above ground, with a view of Osaka, and the statue of Billiken-san, a god that is said to bring good luck to those who stroke the bottom of its feet. The Tsutenkaku was rebuilt after the Second World War as the original Tsutenkaku which was built in 1912 burnt down in a fire in 1943. Tsutenkaku is located near Shinsekai and it is easy to reach both Namba and Shinsaibashi from Shinsekai.
