Your day by day itinerary

Day 1 Enjoy a breathtaking and luxurious safari experience at one of Phinda’s exclusive lodges. Arriving in Johannesburg via arranged transfers, or Tambo International Airport, you will be met and transferred to a hotel for a relaxing overnight stay before flying the next morning to Durban.

Day 2 You will be driven to Phinda Game Reserve, which borders the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park – a World Heritage site. After a welcome drink and check-in, there’s time to enjoy some afternoon tea before being shown to your suite. Having settled in, it is time for adventure. Venturing out on a late-afternoon game drive, the landscapes of the African bush call. Accompanied by a professional guide and a Zulu tracker, you will go in search of the reserve’s wild inhabitants, learn about the daily habits of particular species and even pause for snacks in the African bush. It is worth noting that this prime conservation land is particularly known for its large cheetah population. Long-limbed and sinewy, these graceful, spotted big cats are renowned for being extremely elusive, so this could be your best chance to see one in the wild. Dinner at the lodge crowns an exciting day.

Day 3 After a night’s rest, you will rise for an early morning game drive. Watch as the light changes and feel the familiar African warmth return as you roam the grasslands and forests, your guide and tracker ever-vigilant to signs that will lead you to your next sighting. Back at the lodge, a delicious breakfast welcomes you before some time to relax and soak up the wonder of your surroundings. Later, high tea will be served before your final game drive – the second of the day. Whether you encounter Africa’s Big Five or enjoy some completely unexpected sightings, it is all part of the thrill of safari. Returning to the lodge for dinner, you will enjoy a final evening in this captivating location, the sounds of the African bush around you as you sleep.

Day 4

In the morning, after breakfast and check-out, you will transfer to Durban airport for a direct flight to Cape Town to embark on your cruise of a lifetime.
