We began offering expedition experiences during our first sailing to Antarctica in 2013 led by a highly qualified, world- class expedition team, and those itineraries have been offered every season since. This success opened the door for our ‘Ventures by Seabourn’ programme, featuring Zodiacs, kayaks, and guided hikes to enhance destinations such as Alaska, Australia & New Zealand, South America, Norway and Greenland.

Having entered service in July 2022, Seabourn Venture represents a new era in expedition cruising, designed for those whose appetite for unique experiences is matched by a taste for ultra-luxury amenities. With just 132 luxurious ocean-front suites onboard, guests will explore the world’s most exquisite destinations in Seabourn’s incomparable elegance and ease. A sister ship Seabourn Pursuit arrived in 2023.

Designed and built for diverse environments to PC6 Polar Class standards, both ships feature a new innovative design, incorporating many features that have made Seabourn ships so successful. Two custom-built, 6-seater submarines provide an unforgettable view of the world beneath the ocean’s surface, a complement of kayaks and 24 Zodiacs can accommodate all guests at once, allowing for a truly immersive experience… all alongside a crew that includes an outstanding and well-travelle d expedition team comprised of highly regarded wilderness experts, scientists, historians and naturalists.

Seabourn Venture’s 2024 and 2026 seasons include expeditions to the Arctic, Antarctica and the Amazon where you may cruise i n Zodiacs under teeming bird cliffs and along jungle rivers, kaya k among stately icebergs and tropical coral islands. Visit Viking ruins, ancient Inca sites and remote villages. View whales, wal rus and seals up close and cruise in submarines past vivid reef wal ls and towering underwater ice cliffs. Snorkel unspoilt tropical coral gardens glittering with iridescent fish, trek to earth-sh aking waterfalls and shining blue-white glaciers.

ARCTIC EXPEDITIONS 2024 & 2025

Taking in views of rugged mountains, ice-blue glaciers, and lus h greenery is one of the most sought-after activities for expedition trave llers. Experience nature’s seasonal extravagance in Svalbard, Iceland, Greenland, and the Canadian Arctic.

Cruise in Zodiacs under teeming bird cliffs and kayak among tal l, stately icebergs under the Midnight Sun. Thread a kayak among sculpted icebergs observ ing the whales, walruses, seals, reindeer, polar bears and more that fill this remote region with life.

THE NORTHWEST PASSAGE 2025

Gain a new perspective on life itself as you connect with indigenous communities, learn their rich history and traditions, and better understand what it means to live their self-sustaini ng way of life.

In autumn 2023, Seabourn Venture completed the company’s first Northwest Passage voyage, achieving what John Franklin could not! Guests enjoyed several once-in-alifetime experiences along the way:

● Spotting ten polar bears from the ship in one day enroute to Coningham Bay, lazing, swimming, and eating along the shoreline

● Navigating the Bellot Strait in the company of several bowhead whales

● Exploring Iqaluktuuttiaq (also known as Cambridge Bay), an Expedition Team member’s hometown, sharing local delicacies, and visiting historic sites such as the original outposts of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Hudson’s Bay Company

● Hiking Edinburgh Island and revelling in the beauty of the various-coloured mosses and lichens

● Enjoying the all-day open bridge in the Beaufort Sea as the ship passed from Nunavut to Inuvialuit (Canada’s North-western Territories) to learn more about the ship’s navigation, changing sea ice levels, and historical exploration and shipping routes.

SOUTH GEORGIA

Feel overwhelmed when landing in South Georgia, a naturalist’s paradise. The stunningly beautiful and rugged island is a wildlife sanctuary with over 450,000 pairs of King Penguins, over a million Macaroni Penguins, and many other bird species including albatrosses. Elephant and Fur seals populate most coastlines. History is present all around South Georgia, as seen in the remains of the whaling station which played an important role in early exploration and the island’s history.

During expeditions in the Amazon River, explore varying environments shaped and differentiated by the river itself, divided into three major regions: You’ll visited flooded forests and Backwater Tributaries, where the river is wide, slow and winding. In the Frontier Amazon, our ship passes near to the forest where there is less frequent evidence of human population. In the Peruvian Amazon encounter indigenous populations and discover age-old human traditions surviving unaltered by the outside world.

Explore spectacular gorges and primeval caves richly adorned with rock art. Explore Wyndham, gateway to some incredibly remote places like Bungle Bungles, El Questro National Park and the Ord River Take in the King George Falls, the two highest twin waterfalls in Australia. These amazing watercrafts provide our means for landing on trackless beaches, desert isles and far-flung icy shores where no docks or other facilities exist. They carry guests to towering fjords, among breaching whales and stately icebergs, into jungledraped channels and untouched coral reefs. Our fleet of 24 Zodiacs can all gather beside the water-level shell doors on either side of the ships, enabling call guests to enjoy a complimentary Zodiac tour at once.

Double Sea kayaks

These silent craft allow guests to approach wildlife at eye level, to enjoy the snaps of brash ice in a glacier’s meltwater, to navigate tangled mangrove thickets teeming with life and slide over multicolored tropical coral gardens. Led by an expert member of our Expedition Team, these excursions offer an appealing option available for an additional charge.

An array of masks, snorkels and fins assures everyone a good fit. Expedition Team members can help beginners get started and show you the best snorkelling spots during warm weather voyages. Scuba divers with an advanced or higher qualification may go diving in select locations around the world. Seabourn Venture will provide tanks and weight belts. All dives will be led by a qualified divemaster.
