Ellagance Snow Out Cold Moderate Warm door
Plants grew faster under warmer conditions, however, they were also more stretch. Growth regulators is necessary when grown under moderate to warm conditions.
Cold Tolerance
Plants damaged from heavy frost when temperature went down to – 3˚C
Some of plants recovered; however flowering was significantly delayed.
PGR Response Ellagance Purple 2x B9 (Alar) 2500ppm
2x B9 (Alar) 2500/ CCC 750ppm
Plants grown under moderate conditions.
Control
In moderate temperature conditions, B(Alar) or tank mix of B9(Alar)/CCC works well.
Crop timing Plug crop time: 6 weeks for 288 cell with 4 seeds per cell. Timing from transplant to flower is dependent on average temperature and varieties (see table 1).

Overwinter production
• Sowing from Jan to Feb • Short crop time with probably more energy input • Require more PGR • Flower time at late May to early June under moderate temperature conditions about 16˚C. Warmer or cooler temperature could delay flowering significantly
• Sowing during August • Long crop time but less energy input • Most of time growing without PGR • Better habit with bushier plants • Flower time at later April to early May before heat
Key messages • Plants will grow slower under cool temperature but growing habit is better • When grown under warmer condition, PGR is necessary, multi applications of Alar 2500-5000 ppm or Alar/CCC tankmix is effective for height control • They are facultative long day plants, but E. Purple is much less sensitive to daylength than Sky and Snow. • E. Purple grows more vigor and flowers about 3-4 weeks faster than E. Sky and Snow.
