The Loma Linda University SIMS, with Dr. Tom Wieg, hosted Dental Health clinics for the communities in our area. Other members of the group used their professional talents to benefit our children.
Mend a Child Mission Trip February 15-26, 2012

A group made up of members of the Oakhurst and Chico Seventh-Day Adventist Churches in California came to our campus to spend time with our children and to make improvements. Among other things they made a wheelchair ramp so that Jenny could get into her Home without assistance – see our letter about Jenny.

This husband and wife team, with a heart for missions, united friends and family to visit our campus and share their technical expertise and warm embraces in the Casita Feliz. They also made improvements in our Guest House and main Laundry.

This group from Colorado worked long, arduous hours on the new Children’s Nutritional Rehabilitation Hospital, the Dining Hall and the new Clinic building. We rejoice to see a long dormant project awake and take shape once again, an answer to prayer!

Working with a donation from Tom’s shoes, Tara and Jorge Garcia, came to our campus to fit each one of our children and teens with black shoes that they can wear for the new school year. Thank you Tara and Jorge and Tom’s shoes.
Andrews University Nutrition Department March 15-22, 2012

The Nutrition students of Andrews University and their professor, Dr. Winston Craig, spent their Spring Break on our campus conducting field research based on the diets of the children in our community. They actively helped out in the child nutrition kitchens in the local towns.

Meranda Beerman, a volunteer of several years ago, raised funds to pay for a promotional video that is being made to help spread the word about the PAHS work in Honduras. She and producer, Bryan Fellows, visited our campus to conduct interviews and capture on video life on the PAHS campus.
Fountainview Academy of British Columbia, Canada April

The Senior Class of Fountainview Academy visited our campus to help care for the babies in Casita Feliz and to host a Music Camp for the children in our Home. They also chose to help further the construction of the new Children’s Nutritional Rehabilitation Hospital!
