Trend of Intermediate Product
China has been the largest source of imports into the U.S. since 2007. It is also the biggest driver of U.S. trade deficit. In 2011, the U.S. had roughly a $300 billion trade deficit with China in goods. The top export to China – by value – is now scrap and waste. Scrap from U.S. manufacturing operations, coupled with paper and plastic waste generated by consumers, constitute the most popular product we sell to the Chinese.

Textile industry has always been a traditional pillar industry for China’s economy since China started to develop in international textile manufacture and trading in early 1980s. Today, China’s textile industry has been crowned as the world’s largest in terms of output, due to the condition of plenty of resources and cheap labour force in this industry. As a typical Labour-intensive light industry, China’s textile production accounts for over 40% of total industrial output. Currently, China still remains the title of world’s largest producer of cotton, cashmere, flax and silk, as well as the biggest manufacturer and exporter of textiles in the world.
