ORGANISING AUTHOR AND ILLUSTRATOR VISITS

Having an author or illustrator come to visit your school or library is a great way to bring books to life for children. You can write to any of the authors and illustrators published by Macmillan Children’s Books c/o Children’s Publicity Department. Author visits require thorough planning, so you will need to contact us about your chosen author well in advance. Your letter should include a few dates for the author to select from, the ages of children attending and the type of event you would like to have. A book makes a great souvenir of the day and authors are happy to sign them after the event has finished. Contact your usual supplier to arrange books for sale at the event and circulate a note to parents in advance so that that children can bring in some money. Please note that events will be subject to review whilst social distancing is a requirement but please get in touch to discuss options.
