Jim Thorpe Winterfest Has It All For A President's Day Weekend To Remember

For those who know historic Jim Thorpe, WinterFest is a great reason to get out of the house, celebrate winter and enjoy all this small town has to offer. For anyone who hasn’t yet experienced the wonder of this hidden, beautiful gem in the southern Pocono Mountains, it’s the perfect time to explore the kind of festivities Jim Thorpe is known for.

On Saturday and Sunday, February 19th and 20th, the 29th annual celebration will feature ice carvings and ice bars, live entertainment, train rides, horse drawn carriage rides, food and drink specials, and of course the famous Mug Walk.

Wander along Broadway, West Broadway and the iconic Race Street where you will experience Victorian architecture like nowhere else. The best part is, the spectacular winter views from all over town are free.

Jim Thorpe Mug Walk

The Mug Walk returns this winter in the Historic District of Jim Thorpe. Join us for the Mug Walk this President’s Day weekend, February 19th & 20th, 2022. This fun, family-friendly event begins at the Mauch Chunk Opera House (14 W Broadway, Jim Thorpe) where you will pick up your official souvenir Jim Thorpe Mug, participant list, voucher and map. Show your voucher at our unique participating shops, and receive sweets, treats, novelties and special discounts.

NEW this year is the opportunity to complete your Mug Walk over BOTH Saturday and Sunday. Relax and enjoy an entire additional day to visit the participating businesses! Or, purchase two or more trails and enjoy even more fun each day! Ticket cost is $30 per person per trail.

IMPORTANT NOTE: ALL of these businesses will NOT be on EACH trail. We will soon announce which businesses are on which trail. However, there is no wrong trail to pick, as we are fair across trails–giving our ticket holders the best possible value and experience!
