INSTRUCTOR PROFILE MANDY OSPINA Teaching has always been a passion for me. I actually began my teaching career right here at Panorama, teaching swim lessons and aquafit! I later obtained my high school teaching degree in Math & English, and then returned to university to complete my Masters of Arts - focusing on Educational Technology. I worked for 5 years at the University of Victoria teaching professors how to incorporate technology into their classes. I taught workshops, wrote documentation, and met with professors 1-1. My husband and I now have two beautiful daughters, and I am working part-time so that I can spend time with them. I began teaching iPhone and iPad courses over 2 years ago and I love it! I enjoy meeting people from the community, and helping those who might be hesitant with technology to unlock its potential. I love seeing the excitement on someone’s face when they learn something new and discover how useful it can be for them!

This class is geared towards those individuals who have been recommended by their health care professionals to engage in a slower-paced class or for those who are looking for exercises encouraging strong and conscious movement. We will work on Pilates foundations focusing on engaging and strengthening your muscles to improve posture and help you move with ease.
This class combines low impact cardio, strength training, standing core and balance work. Participants will use a combination of small free weights, bands, body bars and gliders in various ways to challenge their balance and coordination
Developed by BC Women’s Hospital, this is a fallprevention program consisting of strength, balance and stretching exercises that are safe for those with osteoporosis. You will also improve your posture by strengthening and stretching specific muscle groups, which can reduce pain and other consequences of poor body alignment.
This class is a safe and gentle, common sense approach to eliminating chronic muscle pain. An innovative blend of Hatha Yoga, Hanna Somatic Education, Pranayama (breathing) and meditation. Explore new ways of movement that will unlock old patterns of holding stress and pain in your body caused by Sensory Motor Annesia. These movements will retrain the nervous system to release involuntary muscular contraction and restore natural movement to alleviate common painful conditions.
