ADULT INSTRUCTOR PROFILE Katie Morissette I was born and raised in Courtenay, B.C. where life was spent outdoors, soaking up all that the west coast had to offer. A big part of my life was dancing, from age three, right through to my teenage years, both recreationally and competitively. Dance taught me many valuable lessons along the way that have translated over into my adult life. Once I hung up my dance shoes, I found fitness, which quickly became my one, true, love. After living abroad in the Cayman Islands for 5 years, I returned back to Canada where I started a family, began a career in the nursing field and set roots down in Victoria B.C. I feel very fortunate to have been taught at a very young age that exercising and putting your health first will give you unmeasurable reward. In today’s busy world, we often do not put ourselves and our needs first. We all can be guilty at times of putting exercise on the back burner, when in reality, if you commit to investing time into yourself, the benefits will be noticed in all areas of your life. One thing that stands to deliver a positive outcome every, single, time…… is exercise. You may not feel great going into it- but you ALWAYS feel great once you have finished. As your personal trainer, I will help you achieve to health and fitness goals by giving you the tools you need, and more importantly, ones that are specific to you and only you!
