HIPPY HOPPY HOME Location: 5 Garden Terrace, Kew, Melbourne.
Residential| Studio 16: Inner House | Unimelb 2020 sm1 | Instructor: Joel Benichou Programme used: Rhino, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
I nner House is an experience of insidesness and outsideness in
thinking of being and non-being. An intimate value of inside space which comforts you with the illusion of protection from outside world. An insular where this intimate value cannot be experienced out where. The changing of space and time renews our being, transforms our mind and soul, refine the key difference between harmonic values and empirical facts. Inner House is a body of receptive and active – an acoustic of listening and an art of participation. It passively collects imaginary dialectics, fragmentary dialectics which makes Inner House very intimate and unique. You will never find place like Inner House – Home.

DESIGN ILLUSTRATION
H ippy Hoppy Home is a house for three generations. Grandparents produced local wine from Studley Park Vineyard back in old days. The son and wife, Jason and Sophie reconceptualised family business from wine making to hoptea making, PG Beer! PG Beer is an alternative booze to the established brewery and drinking cultures found in across Yarra River. PG beer takes advantage of Kew’s wholistic character; its family-to-family relationships, friendly neighbourhoods and finds itself well-positioned to provide a new PG destination for families, leisurely weekend walkers, Instagrammers and the like. It brings Kew closer to the action.

/returning /A home garden for man reconciles oneself to the mother nature/
B ORROW is a Korean home garden for man to return back to the nature and reflect we as human are not a separate intelligence to have control over the nature. Three main design philosophies in Korean garden: Geomancy (pungsu), Um & Yang and Animism are adopted in associate with the topographical and geographical features of Belgrave’s characteristics. The configuration of garden layout aims at bringing up weak elements: heaven and human layout so as to achieve a balanced and harmonised energy (chi) with the site and Belgrave. - 19 -

Location: University of Melbourne, Parkville, Melbourne. Institutional | Studio 28: Campus Follies | Unimelb 2020 summer | Instructor: Tanzil Shafique Programme used: Rhino, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign Model making: hand-craft, 3D print
A hallucination hub relates to your state of mind.
S CHIZO HAL is a folly dedicatedly designed for students from Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning in University of Melbourne. Research shown that 1 in 4 architecture students are suffering from mental health issues. Long hours are one of the most recognisable traits of the architecture student community, with most students work through the night on a regular basis. The folly serves as a hub for embracing each other, taking a short break and expressing your emotions as to alleviate any stress architecture students are suffering from. - 25 -
Tree Shadow Study
There are 13 trees on North Lawn. Tree shadow mainly casts on south-eastern and southwestern sides. Multiple tree crowns merge together to form a large shadow on south-eastern side.
Visual Connectivity Study Human visual angle spreads from 0 to 30 degree, 60 degree maximum. In this study, it shows that users visual points converge at the north-western side.

Art Union Governing Building | Design Studio| Sheffield University 2018 fall | Instructor: Adam Eckworth Programme used: Rhino, V-ray, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
T he Yorkshire GUILD of Master Crafts acts as a governing body to
represent the boarder professional “shelter” for artists, craftsmen and women. This art union guild building is specialised for silver smithing artists. As The Sheffield Institute of Art has jewelry making course, this building is targeted to serve those students. Annual exhibition show can be held in this building. Besides, public engagement is vital to promote silver handicraft. Silver-jewelry artists can also enjoy a particular studio for them to create their masterpieces. Lastly, a strong central visual connection for all parties is designed to link different groups together.

Gen-sensational Saga [n.] a same same but different generational and sensory experience in a long ever-changing time.
Evolved over generations but not gentrified; Imprinted by touch but not homogenised; It is you, you who have never been replaced. At 4a.m. in the morning, the work starts, Every ornament matters, every stroke counts, Every detaili similar, and also different; You, you are a work of art, Light of protection falls in the city of angels. Wild colours pop in my eyes, Strong scents run in my nose, Melodies repeat in my ears, Dust and sweat brush my face, Smilies flatter my heart; You, you are a work of art, Grow and grow, Please stay here, don’t go.
