INTER-ISLAND FERRY TERMINAL

03 With an immediate view and access of Manila Bay, this project explored on the design and study of transportation facilities. The study of the design also focuses on bay-side developments. The design also envisions a study on traffic control for transport terminal users. The concept of the design tries to incorporate the geometry of Philippine Vernacular Architecture-Bahay Kubo. With the long slanted roof, the structure tries to mimic the diagonal geometries of the vernacular residences. The project was later redesigned as part of a revamping of my old college projects.

“Saluysoy Metaphorically, the ripple signifies the design of the theatre as the keystone of the development of Eton City. It is the primary initiator of the development of the site. The ripple effect thus creates the image of the theatre strategically for development. The theatre , physically, shall embody the form of a ripple.

The concept of the design is based on humility. From the attributes of pope Francis as a humble servant of God. The design is articulated from the Filipino nipa hut, a symbol of simplicity. The design aims to reach out to all walks of life. The structure highlights a sweeping room creating a beacon of uplifting and hope

The concept is based from the interpretation of activity and transition. The image of an inclined roof shows a structure of movement. Its function as a footbridge provides a linear vista of the surrounding environment. As a circulatory element it is signified as a main trunk with subfootbridges branching out from it creating an organized access. Overall, the design showcases not only the beauty but also the sensation of the user.
