Almost five million people visit the Grand Canyon every year. This mile deep canyon is separated into two distinct points of view: The SOUTH RIM, which is responsible for 90% of all tourism, and has an average elevation of 7000 feet. The NORTH RIM, which is in a much more remote area, and can only be reached by a 21 mile hike through the canyon or a 220 mile drive around the canyon.
The South Rim is open year-round, while the North Rim operates from May 15 to October 15; both entrances remain open 24 hours a day. The canyon has extraordinary views no matter what season you visit. On the follow pages we are going to highlight many points of interests of one of the world’s greatest natural wonders.
Take a ride over to the Desert View Watchtower, this 70-foot, four-story structure was completed in 1932. Fly above the canyon in an affordable plane plane ride; view the pure majesty of the South Rim from the sky. Special Events: ď ľ
