LETTER FROM THE PUBLISHER
Ozark Mountain Christmas is in full swing as tourists as well as locals revel in the atmosphere of stunning lighting, holiday cheer, goodwill, and weight gain. Don’t worry about the weight gain. Our government will surely lighten our wallets next spring so it will be a wash. How is it that a man who lived over 2,000 years ago has so influenced our planet like no other person in human history? As evidenced by a non-believing Jewish historian, Flavius Josephus in the first century, who wrote; “About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man; if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he was one who performed surprising deeds and was a teacher of such people as accept the truth gladly...’
No matter what you think about this “man”, you have to be intellectually honest enough to admit that his name is engrained and stained into almost all corners of the globe. Albeit, some for cursing and others for praise. And for “such people as accept the truth gladly” manifested a heart revolution like no other force, ever!
Are you an atheist, agnostic, skeptic, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, or Hindu? It seems that empirical historical knowledge and people’s personal encounters with this Jesus would affirm the fact that if you have fallen in a ditch (and everyone who draws breath has) he would be the first one to bend over, pick you up and hug your neck.
Have a very merry Ozark Mountain Christmas!
