Growing cannabis plants Autoflowering Feminized Seeds:
In our experience, many people new to growing need a little help to get the best from their plants, and naturally, we want you to get the most out of your Paradise Seeds purchase.
Autoflowering seeds will flower, regardless of the light (per day), within 70 – 80 days. This miracle of nature is the result of crossing our feminized strains with the ruderalis, a short cannabis plant that grows in the Arctic circle and flowers automatically. The result is a very easy plant to grow – which is ideal for beginners, guerilla growing and outdoor gardeners in northern regions where the climate isn’t so cannabis friendly. Autos also work very well in a grow room (20/4 hours of light/darkness for best results). They grow shorter than feminized plants so yields will be less, but the big advantage is their versatility.
There are many sources of information regarding the growing of cannabis plants, from the internet to grow handbooks. Paradise Seeds has its own FAQ section which is packed with useful tips for growing healthy cannabis plants with big and flavorful buds. You can find this on the Paradise Seeds website. Our best advice for growers is to choose strains that are suited to your preferences and growing conditions; What effect do you desire? How big is your growing space? Where are you geographically, if you are growing outdoors?
Medical CBD rich Feminized Seeds: Medical CBD cannabis seeds have been bred to produce plants that are better suited for patients suffering from a range of medical conditions. Whereas THC produces the ‘high’ sensation desired by recreational users, CBD produces relaxation and pain relief effects. Understandably, patients seeking an alternative to pharmaceutical drugs are often new to cannabis and do not wish to get high. Therefore, our CBD rich strains offer all the medical benefits without the stoned effect.

STEP 1
Germination of your seeds As with most things in life, everybody has their own opinion on how to best germinate a seed, but we recommend the following easy steps to give your plant a perfect beginning: STEP-1: Place the seeds on a plate in between two moist tissue paper (wet the paper and drain off the excess water) and put in a dark place and at room temperature. Make sure not to use chloride water - clean tap water, rain or distilled water works best. STEP-2: Within three days the embryonic root will break through the seed cover. Bury the seed (with the root facing down) in specialist seedling soil, 1 cm deep, and protect it from direct sunlight. Spray water on the soil (never on the seed-sprout). Cover it with a transparent cover - a cut-out top part of a plastic bottle works perfectly – to provide your seed with its own mini greenhouse. This micro climate will provide perfect growing conditions. STEP-3: Once the sprout sheds its shell and unveils the two seed leaves, place it under direct light. Fluorescent light is preferable, but if not an option avoid direct sunlight. Water gently for the first few days, and avoid over watering. The root will follow the water level down, so wait until the soil becomes a bit more dry (but not too dusty) before adding more water. STEP-4: After 1 or 2 weeks the seedling should have developed into a small plant that can be transplanted to larger pots with nutrientrich soil or quality potting soil. Your cannabis plant now has the best start in life. STEP-5: As your plant grows give it all the attention it needs. Consult instructions on your seed packet and information on www.paradiseseeds.com for guidelines on how your plant will grow. STEP-6: Keep calm and wait for flowers to become voluptuous and resinous!
* It is important to remember that your seed is a product of nature. Seed germination does not run to a timetable. Sometimes seeds take longer to sprout and shoots take longer to grow. Resist the temptation to poke and prod and let nature take its course. Be patient and let the seed do its thing!

What is the best grow method? If you are asking this question, then we are guessing that you are new to growing! If this is the case then we recommend growing your cannabis seeds organically in soil. Many inexperienced growers are attracted to the thought of using a hydroponic system because they hear that growing with hydroponics produces bigger yields. This can be true, but only if you know what you are doing. Growing in soil is cheaper and easier for beginners – whether you are growing indoors in a small grow tent, or outdoors in a garden. The down side is managing watering and the potential for problems caused by pests and diseases. However, through good management and good hygiene, these are risks that can be minimized. Paradise Seeds cannabis strains will produce good harvests grown in soil or using a hydroponics set up. Alternatives to soil include coco fibre, which aids root development and aeration, and rock wool. There is a lot of information out there and we suggest you do your research to find out which system is best suited for you. A great starting point is the FAQ section on the Paradise Seeds website.
Cultivating cannabis The benefits of growing your own cannabis are obvious – you can control the quality and it is cheaper and safer than buying off the street. There is a good reason why the cannabis plant is referred to as ‘weed’ - give your seeds the right conditions and your plant will grow! Indoor growing: There are plenty of options for the modern day grower to make use of even the smallest of grow spaces thanks to improved technology and shared knowledge of growing techniques. Indoor growing allows the grower to control factors such as temperature and light, which brings consistent results. Make sure the temperature does not exceed 25 °C (77 F) or get cooler than 20°C (68 F). The room should be well ventilated and constantly refreshed with air. Every grow space is different and it will take some time and a little experimentation to find what works best for you. However, once you have found what works, you will be rewarded time and time again. The internet is a great source of information and experts’ grow handbooks are a useful reference guide to have at hand.

Outdoor growing:
All reputable nutrient companies have detailed information on feeding schedules and timetables. Information is freely available on the internet and joining a growers’ forum is a great way to pick up tips. Our best advice for best results is to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and keep an eye on plants to spot early signs of deficiency.
Growing in the garden or in an outdoor space has its advantages but outdoor plants need good management to combat threats such as pests, diseases and mold brought on by cooler and wetter weather. However, this challenge is part of any gardening experience and makes the rewards that much sweeter! Once the cannabis plants are 15-20 cm (6-8 inches), they can be planted outdoors, in rich soil – direct in the ground or in large pots for easier management. Outdoor growing is possible in between the indicated degrees in n.L (northern Latitude) and s.L. (southern Latitude). Harvest time for feminized seeds will be anywhere between the end of September and end of October. Plants will finish earlier than indicated and yield more when grown closer to the equator. Many growers in more northern regions prefer to use a greenhouse or polytunnel to create a better environment for their plants and extend the growing season. Our range of Auto plants are also perfect for less hospitable climates as they will flower and finish automatically between 70 – 80 days.

The first guide to harvesting a Paradise Seeds plant is to read the instructions on the packet which gives approximate finish times for the strain (or consult the strain information on our website).
As with any plant, getting the right amount of light and nutrients is the key to healthy growth and the best results. Lights:
Harvesting a plant is all about timing. For the outdoor grower, climate conditions play a big factor (for example if the plant begins to develop mold it will force a premature harvest) and for this reason harvests are easier to manage with an indoor set up. Always ensure your plants are fully ‘flushed’ with water to remove traces of nutrients as the buds approach harvest time.
Although there is no substitute for glorious sunshine, technology has greatly improved the effectiveness and efficiency of light systems for indoor growing. Indoor growers have traditionally used HPS lights although in recent years LEDs have become more popular. Both types of light require a minimum of 400 watts pm².
Checking the color of the trichomes (the crystal resin glands that coat the buds) is the most reliable indicator of when to crop - a magnifying glass will help with this identification process! The trichomes should be milky/cloudy. Another indicator is the pistils (or ‘hairs’ on the buds) and when over 50% of the pistils have turned brown/orange it is a good indication that your crop is ready.
LED lights provide good options for growers with limited space, ideally combined with growing techniques such as SOG/SCROG (Sea/ Screen of Green) and LST (Low Stress Training). In these processes, the plants are trained and sculpted to produce a carpet of buds. Nutrients:
Harvested plants should have fan leaves removed and be hung upside down in a dark warm place with good air circulation for up to 14 days before cutting the other leaves away and separating the buds. Take a stem and bend it. If it breaks then the bud is dry enough to store. Place in airtight jars which should be opened each day for a week or so to ‘burp’ the buds and allow any moisture to escape. Yes, it takes time to cure bud well, but your patience will rewarded!
The most common mistake of new growers is to overuse nutrients. Cannabis plants require different levels of nutrients during different stages of their life and can best absorb all necessary nutrients at a pH value of 5.5 - 6. There are many products on the market and Paradise Seeds does not recommend any in particular, although we always say ‘Go organic’!

ACID® Acid is Paradise Seeds’ delicious twist on the classic New York Diesel. We selected a Diesel mother plant and crossed it with one of our favorite Dutch genetics to create a powerful indica dominant hybrid. The taste is sour with a metallic hint and, as you would expect from the name, this plant comes with an almost narcotic high that is uplifting to the point of psychedelic. With enhanced potency and extra yield potential we think you’ll agree that this is a very pleasing update on the original. Acid has been described as a ‘joy to grow’ which is good news for beginners, but the familiar Diesel taste and extra punch of its potency also makes this plant a favorite with nostalgic old pros. Indoors, this Paradise Seeds strain is an excellent performer. It will achieve a manageable height, producing branches that bulge with dense colas, bringing a powerful fruity aroma to your grow room as harvest time approaches. Outdoors, it will grow in most regions, including those with a more moderate climate, but it will really thrive in the warmth and sun of more Mediterranean conditions where it will possibly exceed our suggested yields. Suitable for growing outside between 50º n.L./ 50º s.L., Acid finishes at the end of October outdoors (n.L.) and between 9 – 10 weeks inside. ALLKUSH® Allkush is a super resinous plant that combines oldschool Kush with Dutch genetics to produce a very satisfying update to this classic strain. With a sweet, slightly musky taste and a dynamic and long lasting effect, thanks to the indica dominance, Allkush will produce a wide grin and a full body effect without nailing you to the floor. The relaxation qualities of this plant make it the choice of many medical customers with previous cannabis experience. What we love about Allkush is its versatility. The great hash making potential of the Kush plant that inspired many canna-pilgrims to take the ‘Hippie Trail’ to Pakistan and Afghanistan in the 1970s. Thick colas produce large and dense buds that are crystalline and oozing with resin. Indoors, it is a super plant to grow indoors and a popular strain with both beginners and experienced growers. ATOMICAL HAZE® Atomical Haze is a real treat for all you haze connoisseurs out there. Paradise Seeds has taken this all time classic strain and given it a re-mix to produce an explosive plant that combines sativa power with high yield capabilities. The flavor is sweet and hazy, with sour undertones that tickle the tongue. This sativa announces itself with a powerful, long lasting high that lifts the user with narcotic euphoria and is good for day smoking or an evening pick-me-up. We would suggest Atomical Haze for more experienced growers as it needs a little more attention than many of our strains. This plant produces big juicy buds that practically pick themselves there is so little trim. Best grown indoors, from seed to flower, it reaches for the light but is more restrained than many hazes and responds well to training. With good management the results are very favorable, producing a high yield that is unusual for a sativa. Outdoors, Atomical Haze will reward the gardener in regions where the sun and warmth are plentiful. While the late finish doesn’t make it the best choice for cooler climates, the sativa element will give some protection against mold. Suitable for growing outside between 55º n.L. and 55º s.L., Atomical Haze finishes at the end of October outdoors (n.L.), while indoor finish time is 9 weeks. PANDORA® Pandora is one of the first autoflowering strains we released, and quickly earned a reputation as being one of the best in the world. It is still an impressive indica, popular with fans of the couch and also with medical users. The flavor is most pleasant, with a sweet and spicy taste. The ruderalis gene gives Pandora its small size but the effect is pure strong, long lasting indica. Its impressive relaxation properties persuaded us to develop this with medical cannabis users in mind. This is a great plant to grow, so ideal for beginners, and is a heavy indica in the tradition of our Sensi Star and Spoetnik #1. A compact plant, it has a high calyxto-leaf ratio and the colas yield long compact buds that are covered with sticky crystals. Indoors, this autoflower will grow taller than some, with a maximum height of 1.20m and will consequently gift the grower with a decent yield. Outdoors, Pandora is a great performer in all regions, thriving in a more Mediterranean climate. but also achieving excellent results in moderate climates thanks to the ruderalis genetic clock that ticks towards flower regardless of light quality. VERTIGO® Vertigo is another of our autoflowering strains that has been bred with the medical user in mind. Its potency delivers a concentrated dose of extreme relaxation that pain sufferers will more than appreciate. The Vertigo bouquet is intense, with a taste that fizzles with citrus. The effect is heavy, although balanced, and it’s an excellent recommendation for medical users who want relief from pain without giving up on the day. One of our original auto flowering varieties, we took the specialized genetics of the original strain (which had been bred to be a plant that was exotic from flower to smoke) and combined it with ruderalis genetics.
