Namibia Paratus was founded as Internet Technologies Namibia in 2005 as the first privately and 100% wholly owned Namibian telecommunications operator. Since inception, Paratus has established a prolific network extending the entire Namibia, with additional international points-of-presence located in Johannesburg (South Africa), Lisbon (Portugal) as well as London (UK). This network is commensurate of our ability to provide exceptional customer service at all times. Today, Paratus still holds its 100% Namibian private ownership and on 20 March 2012, was issued with a Class Comprehensive Telecommunications Service License (ECS & ECNS), following further expansion of its 4G network, national and international network to provide telecommunications services to the Namibian public at large as well as the private and corporate sector.
Coupled with various access technologies, such as fiber, microwave, WiMAX and 4G LTE Mobile Data our customers can rest assured that the network is stable, reliable and has the ability to not only scale with capacity but also provide redundancy, disaster recovery and route diversity to ensure maximum uptime. Namibia hosts its own Earth station in the Northern Industria. The digital orbit tracking satellite has the capability of landing up to STM-1 capacity directly into Namibia and is linked to the fiber backbone, allowing the capacity to be distributed countrywide.
So why go elsewhere - Paratus - Always Prepared! Namibia also operates a national network utilising both its own as well as aggregated networks from other operators to offer a full end-to-end service to its customers.

Zambia Paratus in Zambia was founded as Internet Technologies Zambia in 2010. Since inception, Paratus has established a network extending to major industrial and commercial centres throughout Zambia, with additional international points-of-presence located in Johannesburg and Cape Town (South Africa), Windhoek (Namibia), Luanda (Angola), Lisbon (Portugal) as well as London (UK). This network is commensurate of our ability to provide exceptional customer service at all times. Paratus Zambia was issued with an Internet Service Provider License by the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) in 2011. Paratus provides exceptional communication service to the corporate sector of the Zambian market.
Zambia also hosts critical backhaul routes for the group by providing entry to South Africa and Botswana via fiber access via Lusaka. This forms a ring network in the southern Africa operational countries, thereby interconnecting Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and South Africa. Zambia therefore has four exit points for connectivity, providing additional redundancy for customers across the group i.e. north exit via Chingola to Lubumbashi (DRC), south exit from Lusaka to Johannesburg (SA), south-west via Sesheke to Katima Mulilo (Namibia) and the fourth exit also south-west via Kazangula to Gaborone (Botswana). The border crossing to Namibia between Sesheke and Katima Mulilo is on Paratus own fiber cable. Paratus maintains its own border crossings on fiber for purposes of further diversity.
So why go elsewhere - Paratus - Always Prepared!

Value added Services
When your business requires expansion of its data services beyond the on-site storage facilities, cloud computing plays an important role. Cloud computing relies on secure shared resources which can achieve coherence but also economies of scale, thus creating cost efficient off-site storage solutions. With the advent of cloud services and the expansion of almost any conceivable platform in the cloud environment, Cloud Computing has given way to new methods of product and software delivery. No longer is the cost of ownership a major factor in the acquisition of new technologies, but even your most critical business application vendors have conceded to the cloud computing model. Platform and software-as-aservice has become the niche in cloud services. Paratus offers various services as part of its cloud offering. Our data centre can cater for hosting your physical equipment, or host your server virtually in our state-of-theart server environment with secure access to your data.
