How to Read the Activity/Course Information

Learn about the geology in North Texas as we explore Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. A Texas Master Naturalist will guide you along the way. The Course Code is 51332 and it meets at ARBOR HILLS NATURE PRESERVE on SATURDAYS from 8:30am-10am, begins APRIL 8 meets 1 time, the instructor is STAFF and this course is FREE. ARB = Arbor Hills Nature Preserve NRC = The Nature & Retreat Center at Oak Point Park OPC = Oak Point Recreation Center OPP = Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve

EASTER EGG HOUND HUNT

Join us for this egg-cellent spring event. Owners will have great fun as dogs enjoy sniffing out doggie-treat filled Easter Eggs at Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve. Will your dog find one of the Golden Eggs and win a special prize? Dogs must be on non-retractable leashes (six-foot max) and under their owner’s control at all times. Dogs must have current tags. Registration fee is per dog. Owners must be 16 years old or older. No more than two dogs per person will be allowed. 50594 OPP Sa 9am-10am 4/1 1 Staff $5

SPRING FAMILY CAMP OUT

Join us at Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve for an evening of outdoor games, nature walks, story-telling near the fire, s’mores, and family fun. Price is per person. Children under 2 are free. SUNSET PADDLE

TEACHING YOUR CHILD TO RIDE A BIKE (18 YRS & UP)

Learning to ride a bike is a major childhood milestone. In this class, taught by a certified cycling instructor, you’ll learn how to choose the right bike and discover tips and techniques that will have your child riding in no time. ASTRONOMY & NATURE AT NIGHT (10 YRS & UP)

See a different side to nature, exploring the stars and night sky! A trained guide will take you through the nature preserve while you learn about the many constellations, how to navigate at night, astronomy, and even the nocturnal animals in the area. There is walking on both concrete and unpaved trails. Breathe in the fresh air during this self-paced, self-guided scavenger hunt. You will be given a location and a list of items to “find” while enjoying time in nature.
