TRANSFORMATION Inspired by LEGO, the overall spatial concept will aim to stimulate users to think about all aspects of growth in body and mind. Transformation is a natural process that needs a system to follow which it exists in LEGO blocks. The other aspects that focus on are the contribution, balance, connection, and contemplation. Each floor will be designed by the altering forms on the floor, which will tighten around enclosed spaces, and spread out to open spaces. These forms will induce various modes of work, fostering innovation within the creative community.

inside out Historical building blongs to Scocia Bank in three storey, located in downtown Toronto. The access to the entrance is from main street through elevators and other entrance form the shoping mall. Building has advantage of natural light from three sides , North, West and south side. The inspiration came from Inside out movie based on five basic exist emotions regardless of culture and language. Western culture likes to believe that logic and reason should drive life but really emotions are behind the wheel. At work place sometimes it could be all gloomy, depressing or overwelming but emotions influence our perception of the world, how we remember our memories, and even how we make our every day decisions. Emotions controls our minds in dayly basis. On the other hand, these emotions increased activity in the amygdala that makes people more prone to risk-taking and seeking pleasurable experiences to take risks without considering consequences. At the end of the day no matter what’s happening inside of our mind, all emotions help us keep things running smoothly outside as we do in workplace.

LIGHT HOUSE
INTERIOR/EXTERIOR DESIGN, 181 FOREST RIDGE DR , TORONTO DESIGN STUDIO 5, PROFESSOR: SUZANNE CHENG SOLO PROJECT, OCTOBER-DECEMBER 2016
LIGHT HOUSE From prehistorically time light was symbol of supernatural forces, an important role in our lives. Light become a fundamental characteristic of our lives. We identify the space with light. on the other hand, light give energy and live to our planet. In Persia, people get to getter in a room that has the most light which we usually make it as the living room. Getting to getter is a ritual. getting back in to the place with your family, place that we are belongs to. the place that we are trust and be trusted. Light is a source that make us get back together. Light acts as an anchor of connection. Base on that I decided to give the most light to the new suite for grandparents not only from respect but also because they are the light of our family. I start to do some sketches using simple rules in mathematics which creates curve forms and try to think of how to incorporate that in to my design. I was thinking of saving light and use it towards building energy consumption. I came across kinetic architecture which allows part of the structure to move without reducing overall structure integrity. It is also helps the natural ventilation of building and indoor air quality. the movement of the glass and natural ventilation enable building or space to breathe. Specially for people who lives in Canada they spend most of their time indoor.

ECLECTICISM Eclecticism is a nineteenth and twentieth-century architectural style in which a single piece of work incorporates a mixture of elements from previous historical styles to create something that is new and original. In architecture and interior design, these elements may include structural features, furniture, decorative motives, distinct historical ornament, traditional cultural motifs or styles from other countries, with the mixture usually chosen based on its suitability to the project and overall aesthetic value. Eclecticism came into practice during the late 19th century, as architects sought after a style that would allow them to retain previous historic precedent, but create unseen designs. From a complete catalogue of past styles, the ability to mix and combine styles allowed for more expressive freedom and provided an endless source of inspiration. Whilst other design professionals (referred to as ‘revivalists’) aimed to meticulously imitate past styles, Eclecticism differed, as the main driving force was creation, not nostalgia and there was a desire for the designs to be original.

TRANSPARENCY The inspiration came from the building layout accepts the existing space and topography as it is, with the box form located along the existing building as a simple volume for rest and contemplation. The refined volume is designed to embody a neutral piece of architecture through a transparent material, such as glass, can produce welcome compositional ambiguity within a space. Where solid forms stop the movement of the eye for focus on the object itself, transparent materials call for a continuation of interpretation to objects beyond its division. It is important to consider how humans learn and share. Privacy, the quality or state of being apart from company or observation, relates directly to visibility and affects a person’s feelings of freedom or control over his or her environment. The layering, employed the use of transparency to generate movement throughout the design that gives the interpreter the sense of more than optical transparency.

INTERIOR DESIGN, 604 COLLEGE ST, TORONTO DESIGN STUDIO 2, PROFESSOR: CAITLIN TURNER SOLO PROJECT, JANUARY - MARCH 2016
THE GUILD Beginning with the ancient civilizations of Greece and Rome barber shops have historically been a place where men have gathered for not only a haircut, but often for friendly talk about local happenings, politics, news, weather, sporting events. In another word, “guild” could describe the space feeling the most. The guild is a medieval association of craftsmen or merchants, often having considerable power. Today, the N040 shop is an upscale classic-guild gentlemen’s barber shop that offers today’s progressive gentlemen a haven where he can sit back, relax and experience the “ World Class” art of grooming and services in a gentlemen’s atmosphere, which is masculine and therapeutic. The N040 shop provides services in addition to haircutting, such as facial, foot massage, shoe shines and drinks. The store design combines modern look of concrete floor, reclaimed wood countertop, copper as an design accent and classic leather chairs. Having inside concrete walls give the space a serene cozy Spa-like feel for second floor. Besides by using the skylight, natural light in day time could brighten the both first and second floor. By having such a cozy, guild design feel, N040 shop can become a trusted destination whereby the clients in our community can come to refresh their minds and bodies, replenish their energy, and network with their colleagues and friends.

PREFABRICATED TELESCOPIC HOUSE INTERIOR DESIGN, SHELTER STRATEGY DESIGN DESIGN STUDIO 3, PROFESSOR: SHERY CRAWFORD SOLO PROJECT, JANUARY - MARCH 2017
PREFABRICATED TELESCOPIC HOUSE I intent to design a transitional shelter that could be install in different areas and that could use for longer time after disaster happens. By having adjustable legs, unit can stay dry above the ground in wet areas. This transitional shelter could install either on the ground directly like concrete footing which it makes it permanent shelter. By using the natural material this shelter also can recycled for reconstruction. The idea of the case study project is to create a small house, that would be highly ecological and efficient and would fit into the environment of urban or rural areas. They use coco lumber with bamboo or plywood walling and CGI sheet or ‘nipa’ shingles for roofing which is made of fully recycled materials so is highly ecological - has 0% embodied carbon and low embodied energy coefficients. The house is separated from the ground to prevent moisture problems and to make the lowest interference into the environment. In urban areas foundations, they use concrete but in general because of budget limitation and skilled craftsman, it could fit in to the bare ground. To avoid slipping down some steep ground the footing height is adjustable.

The main structure maid of bamboo and two additional box will place inside the main box like a telescopic form which is so light and easy to expand by one or two person. It will stand on adjustable legs which helps shelter stay above the ground specially in wet areas. One side has door and the other side has window made by plycarbonate that is a recycleable material.

CLEAN HUB SYSTEM
The Clean Hub is an excellent architectural solution for post-emergency demographics and rural locations in need of off-the-grid power and water. The Clean Hub is also scalable to its specific human and natural ecosystem responding to population density, rainfall, sunlight and soil conditions.
These two strong handle above will install the time when they need to put uninstall and move the unit to the new place.

CANON[ISE]
INTERIOR DESIGN, CONCEPTUAL DESIGN IDEC COMPETITION 2017 SOLO PROJECT, SEPTEMBER 2017, 3 WEEKS
CANON [ISE] The inspiration comes from the connection between human and Earth. The spatial concept consists of layering a range of materials, in order to define transition through space. The solidity and sparsity of the materials suggest the degree of its connection to meet a higher level of spiritual user’s needs. The organic forms of these layers accommodate the different levels of sensory with focus on human well-being, mindfulness in space. The refined volume is designed to foster new contemplation, meditation space for human spiritual growth. This is a facility that offering the space to heal the body and mind.
