Ze Kitchen Galerie
Regularly looking for inspiration in the kitchens of Asia, chef William Ledeuil is one of the most successfully imaginative contemporary French chefs in Paris. This popular gallery-like restaurant in Saint Germain des Prés pulls a mixed crowd of locals and international visitors to sample dishes like grilled octopus with citrus fruit and a condiment of wasabi, lemon and French caviar. Le Bristol
The restaurant of three-star chef Eric Frechon is not only one of the rare haute cuisine tables open in Paris in August, but during the summer months, it moves from its elegant oak-panelled winter quarters to a romantic terrace restaurant overlooking the hotel’s courtyard garden. Don’t miss Frechon’s macaroni stuffed with foie gras and artichokes and glazed with Parmesan, and Bresse chicken with crayfish.

Summer months are the perfect time to pack a picnic and head to one of Paris’ many parks and gardens. On the Left Bank, before heading to the Jardin du Luxembourg, get some picnic goodies at the nearby Gérard Mulot. This famous bakery and pastry shop has delicious sandwiches, salads, pastries and carry-out dishes. Another great place to get picnic fare is Boulangépicier, created by Michelin three-star chef Alain Ducasse and master baker Eric Kayser. Conveniently located near the beautiful Parc de Monceau in the 8th arrondissement, it offers sandwiches made with specialty breads, cold soups, salads, desserts and wine. The last stage of the Tour de France will enter the Paris on July 25. The riders usually arrive on the quai des Tuileries just before 4 pm and begin eight circuits that sweep into the rue de Rivoli, s across the Place de la Concorde, up the Champ Elysées toward the Arc de Triomphe, and back be will again.
