Report on Philanthropy 2023-2024

Page 1

Philanthropy is a powerful communication tool. By giving, donors say they believe in the School’s vision, values, and mission. Color is also an influential communication tool. By adding color, we can impact the way others see the world.

We invite you to interact with the 2023 – 2024 Report on Philanthropy. Add your own color. Make the images come to life with your style and personality. Highlight your name. Be proud of the energy you bring and the difference you make in advancing our mission.

Giving is not black and white; it is bright and meaningful. Your partnership, philanthropy, and trust in our work make Parker an exceptional school. YOU add color to enrich the Parker experience!

About thIS Report

We thank our donors for their generosity and are honored to list them in the 2023 – 2024 Report on Philanthropy. Francis Parker School is supported by families who understand that their giving makes a Parker education possible for every student. Tuition alone does not cover the full cost of a Parker education; it is our strong endowment and families who make annual gifts that advance our mission.

We have made every effort to ensure the accuracy of this report. The Giving section recognizes donors who made new gifts between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024, in support of the following areas: Annual Giving (current-use operating needs: Day of Giving, Gala, Senior Class Gift), Endowment Giving (restricted endowment funds), and Other Gifts (annual initiatives, board-designated, Robotics, etc.).

If you have questions about your donor recognition or would like more information about giving opportunities, please contact Shara Freeman Hoefel, Assistant Head of School for External Relations, at 858 /569-7900 or advancement@francisparker.org. For information, visit www.francisparker.org/giving.

About the Design

Amy Archambault illustrated the Report on Philanthropy. Amy melded together various Parker icons, scenes, and places to entice you, the artist, to add your own color. Have fun!

Your support provides Parker with critical resources—a steady stream of funds that keep the School moving forward. Your philanthropic contributions help us cover most of the $ 4,300-per-student difference between the actual cost of a Parker education and what is covered by tuition. Annual gifts ensure that the Parker experience is both distinctive and accessible. While families have children attending Parker, we ask them to place the School among their top philanthropic priorities, but broader-based support is important too. Prospective families and grant-making foundations look favorably upon high giving participation from across the community because it demonstrates far-reaching confidence in the School and our mission.

During this giving season, which runs through June 30, 2025, you will have many opportunities to proudly support the School. You can take advantage of current tax-year benefits by making a contribution by Dec. 31, 2024. Unlike tuition, gifts to support Parker are fully tax-deductible.

We thank you in advance for your philanthropic investment. The collective power of everyone’s support advances the mission as far as the mind can see.
