Visit the koalas (E5) Stroll along the 240-metre koala boardwalk to view one of Australia’s favourite native animals in a natural environment and learn more about these fascinating creatures.

McNess House Visitor Centre (F5) Drop into the visitor centre to get information about the park and browse through the great range of gifts and souvenirs available. You can also purchase an annual park pass for Yanchep National Park for $20.

Spot the western grey kangaroo Yanchep National Park is home to western grey kangaroos which can be seen in abundance early and late in the day. At other times they shelter from the sun so you might be lucky enough to see them resting in shady areas.

Chocolate Drops Tea Rooms (F5) Drop in for a light lunch, refreshment or ice-cream and treat yourself to some award-winning handmade chocolate.

Stretch out on a walk trail The park has nine walk trails designed to suit a variety of age groups, interests and fitness abilities. They range from short trails of 500 metres to challenging trails of 55 kilometres. Each trail has been selected to showcase the unique biodiversity of the northern Swan Coastal Plain. Information about the walks is available at McNess House Visitor Centre. Picnic spots galore All of the barbecues in the park are free. Please follow the instructions carefully and remember to reignite as required. You’ll see many birds while you’re picnicking in the park but please don’t feed them.

Yanchep Inn (D5) Open daily from 8am 'till late, the historic Yanchep Inn offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and accommodation. Function room facilities are also available.

For the most up-to-date information please visit McNess House Visitor Centre or call the park before your visit. All tours should be booked early at McNess House Visitor Centre (F5) to avoid disappointment. Tickets must be purchased at least 15 minutes before the activity. Check your map for activity locations and starting points. Park activities Crystal Cave (F10)* Experience the underground world of a limestone cave, which is home to tiny amphipods ­— shrimp-like crustaceans that live in the cave’s streams. Aboriginal Experience (E5)* Discover the ways of the Nyoongar people who live in WA’s south-west. Learn about their seasonal movements, language and how knowledge is passed from generation to generation. See tools such as spears and boomerangs. Witness a spear-throwing demonstration. Discover how plants and animals in this environment bear great significance to the Nyoongar people. Golf course (B4) Have a leisurely round of golf but keep an eye out for the kangaroos that frequent the fairways.

The Ghosthouse Walk (C1) The Ghosthouse walk trail is one of WA's top trails experiences and is just one of the fantastic nine walk trails within the park. * Prices subject to change, please check with McNess House Visitor Centre. Caring for your national park through volunteering Volunteers support many aspects of the park including: • upkeep of the wildflower garden • water monitoring • planting • seed collecting • weeding. For more information contact the volunteer coordinator on (08) 9405 0771. Yanchep National Park is open every day of the year. In the event of an emergency please make your way to a safe area as indicated on the map. If you are on a tour, listen to your guide’s instructions. All revenue collected from park entry fees and Parks and Wildlife-managed businesses is invested in biodiversity conservation, and maintenance and improvement of Yanchep National Park facilities and services, as well as the protection of park values.
