Discover...Point D’Entrecasteaux Experience the best of the south-west’s wild, windswept coast at Point D’Entrecasteaux from several cliff top lookout platforms. You can go for a walk or just sit back enjoy the amazing vistas.

What to see and do? Point D’Entrecasteaux is one of the few places that you can access the coast in D’Entrecasteaux National Park by 2WD vehicle. The area offers visitors a choice of interpretive walking trails, a scenic drive and several spectacular lookout points. Whales, pods of dolphins and shoals of salmon can regularly be seen from the lookout at Tookulup. Coastal Survivors Walk - 2.8km one way This coastal walk along the dunes and cliff tops links Point D’Entrecasteaux and Windy Harbour via Cathedral Rock. Learn about the coastal plants and animals and their adaptations to this most demanding of environments. Cliff Top Walk - 1.3 km one way Experience the rugged limestone cliffs that tower above the Southern Ocean along this moderately easy walk that links Point D’Entrecasteaux and Tookulup. Pupalong Loop Walk - 400m loop Learn about how important country is to the Noongar custodians of the South West along this short, universally accessible, loop trail. D’Entrecasteaux Drive This 6km drive provides many vistas and views of this magnificent, diverse landscape. Gardner, Sunset and Salmon Beach lookouts provide the visitor with spectacular views and the chance to pause for a while.

Where is it? Point D’Entrecasteaux is 30 minutes south of Northcliffe on Windy Harbour Road. It is one of the few coastal areas in D’Entrecasteaux National Park that is accessible by 2WD vehicle.

Facilities... Interpretive walk trails, toilets, lookout platforms, picnic tables.

Best season... All year. Whale watching season is from May until November. Be aware that it can be windy at Point D’Entrecasteaux.

Nearby things to see and do... Mt Chudalup Located on the Windy Harbour Road 16km south of Northcliffe, Mt Chudalup provides you with fantastic views over D’Entrecasteaux National Park and out to the coast beyond. There is an undercover picnic area, gas BBQ’s and toilets. A 1.5km walktrail to the summit of Mt Chudalup is well worth the effort. Windy Harbour 27km south of Northcliffe, Windy Harbour is a holiday settlement that is surrounded by D’Entrecasteaux National Park. Fishing is the major attraction of Windy Harbour and the sheltered beach at Cathedral Rock is a great place for a swim. There is a camp ground at the settlement with grassed camping areas, toilets and hot showers. Contact the Manjimup Shire for more information.

Walk softly...keep to the path and help us to protect this coastal environment. Be Clean... take your rubbish with you and dispose of it correctly. Fires are not permitted. Strong wind gusts regularly occur along cliff edges. Limestone cliffs and over hangs are prone to collapse.
