About CDS
CDS (Combined Defense Services) is the common entrance exam to recruit unmarried male and female (including widows and divorcees who haven’t remarried) candidates in all the three spheres of the Indian defense services, i.e. Indian Military, Navy, and Air Force. The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) is entrusted with the responsibility to conduct the CDS exam at all India level. The CDS Exam is held twice in a year in February and November for which the official notification is published in November and August respectively.
Eligibility Criteria The Eligibility Criteria of CDS has been defined by exam conducting authority, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). CDS eligibility criteria 2018 are the set of norms in terms of age, nationality and educational qualification. According to CDS eligibility criteria, candidates applying for the exam must be 20 to 24 years.
Paper Pattern
For admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Air Force Academy there are three objective type question papers: a)English (120 questions) b)General Awareness (120 questions) c)Elementary Mathematics (100 questions) For the admissions of Officers Training Academy (OTA) there are just two objectives: a)English (120 questions) b)General Awareness (120 questions)
CUT-OFF UPSC notification does now not mention in relation to the paperwise alone cutoff. Though a general trend after count on 20% regarding the maximum marks as like the single cutoff is regular .
