INTERESTS
My name is Parth Chetan Bane, currently studying in Fourth year at Rachana Sansad’s Academy of Architecture. This portfolio is a curated collection of the works done in the past three years. Architecture for me doesnt necessarily have to deal with problem solving but enhancing the user experience. The output could be the simplest change that one could make to a design element. I enjoy looking out for possibly a different perspective when dealing with any design intervention. I aim to learn and gain experience through participating in various aspects involved in the design process.

SPORTS TRAINING INSTITUTE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SEMESTER 06
6
SITE :
Vidyadhar Nagar, Jaipur.
BRIEF :
The brief was set by the students after analyzing the site, people, climate, built hierarchies, and the lack of any public interaction in the neighborhood. The programme set was a Sports Training Institute which would double up as a platform for creating a lively neighborhood. When thought of various programmes that could possibly be created at the site, this one seems the most apt and engaging to the users.
The Site :
Functional Exploration
Badminton
Archery
Rock Climbing
Indoor Lap Pool
The intial process dealt with actually understanding the volumetric expanses of the various activites / sports that would be catered to, in the academy to understand their cohesive nature. This ensured that wastage of construction material would be avoided and creation of an amalgamated structure would lead to public interaction

The various spaces and their volumetric expanses created a homogenous entity providing mutual shade and overlooking terraces so as to keep the built form always engaging and lively. The Climbing Gym was an Add-On to the pre-existing brief as it seemed like an element capable of providing the magnanimity to create an iconic structure.

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SEM 04
14
SITE :
Worli Gaothan, Mumbai
BRIEF :
The aim here is to create such a cohesive environment for the children to learn, play and grow though their surroundings itself. So till around the 4th grade, they would attain knowledge from this education centre, but should be competent and ready enough to take on the conventional sysytem of schooling.
Process
Spatial Variation
CRITICAL -Basic math -Logical Thinking -Languages -Environmental Studies
Play. The first step dealt with ensuring that Open spaces were in abundance as the age group of 3-9 would be the highly energetic and volatile needing space to move around. Hence the demarcation of the Play Areas and Gardening patches.
CREATIVE -Art and Craft -Clay modelling -Knitting -Sports and Play -Music
Learn. Grow. The Second stage was to create secondary areas for the ancillary funtion of ‘Adult Education Centre’ which would be majorly functioning as a night school. This lead to zoning out the Open Terraces for the workshop and the balance for the school itself.
PRACTICAL -Role play -Gardening/Horticulture -Communication skills -Daily chores

SITE :
Behind Bhaudaji Lad Museum, Byculla
BRIEF :
The aim of the project was to create an extension to the present day heritage museum keeping in mind its history and exuberance of the space around. The programme constitutes a gallery space, workshop areas and a cafe.
The design process was exhilarating as it was a first project of such a huge scale. Hence it went with tranformation of ideas into diagramatic representations leading to a conceptualization of the form.

Overlapping Functions. 3.
Carving out .
1. Engaging overlap of various user groups. 2. Appropriate segregation without cluttering. 3. Green channel for free access across east/west.
The primary generator for the design was based on a basic seperation of leisure and utility intersecting at various nodes. The apt modification of these nodes would be the base pillars of this design solution.

BRIEF :
The aim of the project was to create an extension to the present day heritage museum keeping in mind its history and exuberance of the space around. The programme constitutes a gallery sapce, workshop areas and a cafe.
This form arised from an explorative process of trying to achieve a dynamic mass so as to resonate with the progress the mankind has and manifest it in a functional architectural entity. The basis wasn’t to divert the user’s attention away from the pre-existing Bhaudaji Lad Museum, but to give a contemporary approach to the long standing specimen of Victorian Architecture.
The idea of the creation of this structure with such overlapping layers was to accentuate the visual appeal all throughout the day so as to keep the surrounding always in use.

CO-WORKING SPACE INTERIOR DESIGN SEM 05
SITE :
Academy of Architecture, Mumbai
BRIEF :
The project involved designing a co-working space. in the middle of the busy area of Prabhadevi, Mumbai. Coworking spaces require both versatility as well as the element of informality as this is a space where people of different occupations ought to feel comfortable.
This canvas painting became initiated my ideation of the entire office space of fluid spaces with overlapping functions to go along with the pre-exisiting college building of AOA. 38
