Fabulous Futurity Class Rules To qualify for the Fabulous Futurity classes: 1) Horses must have been nominated through the program and all program fees paid 2) All Futurity Entries Must Have Microchips Recorded with the PFHA. It is the responsibility of exhibitors to have the correct microchips in Futurity entries. (Optional microchip scan verification times will be at two times: A) Monday morning in warm-up area and B) Tuesday at the lunch break in check-in area 3. Mandatory Microchip Scanning: In the warm-up area during check-in before the classes). Any horse presented to the warm-up ring that does not match its microchip number will be disqualified. NO EXCEPTION TO THIS RULE. It is recommended that participants take advantage of the pre-scanning to allow time if there is an issue that arises prior to the day of the class. 4. Eligible Horses who qualify are NOT automatically entered into a futurity class. The Futurity class must be included on the horses entry form as any regular class would be. Once entry has been received by the show secretary, the division has been declared and no class change will be allowed. The entry fees are as published in this prize list and there will be NO ENTRIES ACCEPTED AFTER THE 2nd TIER DEADLINE. NO EXCEPTIONS. ALL FUTURITY PRE-CLASS WARM-UP PROCEDURE Entries for the Fabulous Futurity classes are presented to the warm-up arena to be inspected by the veterinarian and farrier. Any entry that does not pass the inspection by the vet or farrier is disqualified per National Show procedure. Microchips will also be verified upon entry into the warm-up ring. Any horse presented to the warm-up ring that does not match its microchip number on record with PFHA will be disqualified. Entries report to the warm-up arena saddled and bridled. A show
steward inspects the tack of the horse and attire of the rider. The tack and attire for each class will be the same as for the schooling classes of the particular division for which the horse is entered in the Fabulous Futurity class. Each entry will be allowed only one handler in addition to the rider. Attire of the handler is not relevant. After passing the inspections of vet, farrier, and steward, entries proceed to the warm-up arena (presided over by at least one designated steward) and wait quietly for further instruction. Entries may be hand walked but no other warm-up is allowed (no lunging or riding). Upon instruction from the presiding steward and with the paddock announcer acting as timekeeper, riders are instructed to mount their horses and are allowed five minutes to warm up before the class is called into the show arena. If a rider has been granted a tack change from a previous class, the presiding steward and timekeeper will wait until the tack change is complete before calling for riders to mount their horses. After the five-minute warm-up, riders may remain on their horses and stand quietly or may dismount and stand or walk the horse. No further mounted warm-up will be allowed. Once the class is called, all riders must mount their horses and proceed in walk or gait directly to the show arena. Handlers may remain in the warm-up arena until the entries proceed to the show arena. Any entry arriving late to the warm-up arena forfeits any time lapsed in the five minute warm-up. Regardless of warm up time, they must proceed with the other horses and riders into the show arena when called. Entries that do not follow this warm-up procedure as directed by presiding steward or paddock announcer (timekeeper) may be disqualified at the discretion of the Judges.

Purpose of Form
• An individual who is a U.S. citizen or U.S. resident alien,
A person who is required to file an information return with the IRS must obtain your correct taxpayer identification number (TIN) to report, for example, income paid to you, payments made to you in settlement of payment card and third party network transactions, real estate transactions, mortgage interest you paid, acquisition or abandonment of secured property, cancellation of debt, or contributions you made to an IRA.
• A partnership, corporation, company, or association created or organized in the United States or under the laws of the United States, • An estate (other than a foreign estate), or • A domestic trust (as defined in Regulations section 301.7701-7). Special rules for partnerships. Partnerships that conduct a trade or business in the United States are generally required to pay a withholding tax under section 1446 on any foreign partners’ share of effectively connected taxable income from such business. Further, in certain cases where a Form W-9 has not been received, the rules under section 1446 require a partnership to presume that a partner is a foreign person, and pay the section 1446 withholding tax. Therefore, if you are a U.S. person that is a partner in a partnership conducting a trade or business in the United States, provide Form W-9 to the partnership to establish your U.S. status and avoid section 1446 withholding on your share of partnership income.
Use Form W-9 only if you are a U.S. person (including a resident alien), to provide your correct TIN to the person requesting it (the requester) and, when applicable, to: 1. Certify that the TIN you are giving is correct (or you are waiting for a number to be issued), 2. Certify that you are not subject to backup withholding, or 3. Claim exemption from backup withholding if you are a U.S. exempt payee. If applicable, you are also certifying that as a U.S. person, your allocable share of any partnership income from a U.S. trade or business is not subject to the

Equitable-Olympic Five Judges (F1-F2) Scoring System 1. Scoring: Each judge will enter their placements on the provided iPods. PasoKey will accept and tabulate the placement entered and will eliminate the high and low placements for each horse from the final placements to determine the results. The remaining three scores will be added by the computer system and the horse with the lowest score is the winner, the second lowest is second, and so on. 2. Judges may pin the class following the completion of the preliminary round (F1) if 3 out of 5 judges select to do so and there are ten (10) or less horses in the class. 3. If the class is not pinned at the completion of the preliminary round then each judge should select up to 10 horses to go to the finalist round (F2). 4. A horse MUST be selected by 3 out of 5 judges to move from Preliminary Round (F1) to Finalist Round (F2). 5. Judges may work off horses after the finalist round or place the class at that point. Judges must input a minimum of 2 horses when asking for a work off. A horse MUST BE selected by 3 out of 5 judges to be part of a work off. The additional work off will be submitted via the iPOD and the PasoKey system will tabulate the results to determine the horses selected for the work off. 6. If the same two or more horses are not selected by 3 or more judges for a work off, there will NOT be a workoff and judges MUST place the class at that time via the iPOD. 7. Judges must select from the provided predetermined test(s), for each division for the work offs via the iPOD. The test selected by 3 out of the 5 judges will be the one read by announcer for the horses to perform. 8. In the event that there is a true tie for first place or second place, all five judges will judge a predetermined tie breaker test and judges will send decision via iPOD. 9. A true tie exists after the high and low placements are eliminated from the remaining 3 placements and after the initial elimination of the high and low score and the end result are horses sharing the same placement/score. For any true tie, other than for first or second place, the call judge’s card will be used to break the tie. Judges will enter final decision via the iPOD. 10. The judges’ scores will be displayed on the big screen along with the name of each judge. 11. Judges will not confer at any time. Each judge will judge independently throughout the entire competition. * The Judges and Stewards Committee will recommend predetermined procedures, work-offs and tie breakers for the 2018 GNS in the April BOD meeting. Pre-Determined work-offs shall be posted on the PFHA GNS website, www.pfhagns.com at least 60 days before the show.
