The Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach reaches out to inspire, inform and provide people with the support to enhance their quality of life. The librarians and staff promote early and enhanced literacy and a love of reading by providing outstanding programming for children from birth to 18 years old. All programs are provided free of charge.

Attention all teachers: Your class is invited for a private tour of the children’s department. Students in grades K-5 will enjoy an interactive art and literature program and hands-on extension activities. Students with special needs are invited to enjoy a storytime presentation to promote motor skills through movement and music activities. These visits familiarize students with the educational and fun resources at the library.

Additionally, the library performs outreach to local schools. A librarian brings a program to one class, multiple classes, or a group. Outreach can include book talks, book clubs, story time, songs and games, and an introduction to the library’s website and the online resources it offers to children.
