I mentor students on how to conduct research as well as be effective scientific communicators to the general public. Why Palm Beach County? It’s a perfect location for a marine biologist to work—close to the ocean.

Where would you take a friend visiting for the weekend: I’d take my friend to the parks and the beaches. We would visit one of my favorite spots—Phil Foster Park, Blue Heron Bridge to snorkel.

Vibrant Atlantic Avenue for dinner, Delray Dunes Country Club for golf, The Breakers and Palm Beach Lake Trail for a chance to take in the rich history and renowned beauty of the island, and fishing or sunset cruising in Jupiter near the Lighthouse.

I love it here because of the people and the proximity to Miami.

Where would you take a friend visiting for the weekend? Friday happy hour at El Camino in The Square, with a stop into The Ben’s rooftop and dinner at nearby Elisabetta’s. Saturday we’d do the beach and spend the day in Delray, and we’d spend Sunday on Palm Beach island.
