If you are a single mom or dad, then you understand only too well how difficult the task of parenthood is when you are on your own. It can be difficult for you to give your children the space they need, but it is important to let them grow up to be themselves and not to shelter them. Teach them responsibility early on by giving them chores to do around the house, and let them go out with friends when everything is finished. It is important that both you and your child have a life outside of the home. If you follow this single parenting advice, your child is going to grow up to be an independent and successful person. Finally, our last piece of advice for single parents is to look for ways to get support from others. Join or start your own support group with other colleagues and friends. You can find ways to help one another out as parents by shopping for each other, babysitting, and even carpooling.
