Lincoln Park Market Update Luxury continues to outperform the overall market in the city of Chicago, and the same is true for the Lincoln Park marketplace. In fact, the Lincoln Park luxury market ramped up in 2014 as interest rates remained low, market times declined, and single-family home prices posted significant gains. One factor driving the market is attractive mortgage rates, which hovered near historic lows throughout the year. Average market times continued to trend downward, pointing to strong buyer demand. Luxury home prices have also risen in the neighborhood, with the average single-family home selling for more than $2 million. It all points to the fact that the luxury market is hot, and getting hotter.
