AW17 FASHION WEEK REVIEW From looking through the presentations of the four most influential Fashion Weeks like Milan, London, Paris and New York. Each and every one of them have highlighted different silhouettes, cutting, colour and style. However, there are 3 trends that seemed to outshine the rest in this AW17 collection are short hair fur, floral prints and strong red shades.
FENDI X PUMA: PFW
Floral prints appeared in most collections this season, for example in PFW, Vivienne Westwood’s collection had floral print patterns on loose fabric for the top and the trousers with earth toned colours that give the vintage look to it. In MFW, it was easy to notice that Gucci used flowers as the main concept of their show. The style of the collection is express in a formal wear type. Their dresses included embroidered flowers while floral print patterns even made it into the menswear collection, as seen below, on a suit and trouser set.
MARC JACOBS: NFW
Red colour palettes have also been a key trend in these fashion weeks, it makes AW feel more lively and eye-catching for consumers. As in PFW, Givenchy lit a fire on the runway with a bright all-red collection from head to toe with simple, clean line silhouette. These simple silhouettes are very important because they helped the red colour to stands out. While in MFW, Dolce & Gabbana has presented an outfit from one of its collection that featured red as the main colour but used black for contrast. ANYA HINDMARCH: LFW
Fur never goes away, but for this AW17 it has picked up on a shorter fur style which gave a sportier look to their collections. This can be proved through these globally known brands such as Fendi that has collaborated with Puma, Marc Jacobs, and Anya Hindmarch. Both Fendi x puma and Marc Jacobs used a brighter tone colour which bring this autumn/ winter look more lively. In comparison to Marc Jacobs, it shows in a dark blue colour with on the long coat shape.

TRENDS FROM GLOBAL EVENTS PARIS FASHION WEEK: Front Row And Parties
Kenzo is originally a French brand, so Paris fashion week could be one of the main promotional events for their consumers. In PFW 2017, red seem to be a big color, it making appearance on celebrities such as Bella Hadid and Pharrell William.
California music festival 2016, saw some celebrities wearing floral print patterns on different type of clothes. This will interest Kenzo target customers because people who go there have similar age to them. Karlie Kloss
