Homeless Assistance Center

Atlanta, GA

The homeless assistance center is a project designed for those who are less fortunate to own or rent a living space. The concept of this project is to organize an interactive space for the employers within the facility to give guidance, confidence, and security to those living within the center. While many people will believe that there is only one type of homelessness, there is in fact many types and phases of homelessness which becomes important to the design since housing is part of the program.

Bauhaus D E S S A U BESUCHARZENTRUM

Visitor Center / Museum Dessau, Germany Defining the corner of Pushkinalle and Gropiusalle architecturally. Key characteristics of interior spaces are informed by the prominent corner created. Bauhaus principles are reinterpreted throughout the design. Gropius’ play of solid versus transparency inspired the appearance of a lifted mass. Spatial Quality: Visual Connections within the interior spaces are designed to allow the visitor to have multiple visual connections throughout the museum. With the use of ramps, the promenade of the visitor is guided in a chronological order following the Bauhaus throughout history. This results in a variety of dynamic exhibition opportunities.

Euplectella Aspergillum Scaffold Structure This project focuses on a new construction method that is inspired by one of the most efficient producers on this planet. NATURE. Through studies and comparison of several structural systems, nature is able to generate new forms without sacrificing the structural integrity of a building and maintaining the comprehensive design issues of a new structural system.
