February 26, 2013 College of Business Administration University of Nebraska-Lincoln Lincoln, NE 68588 To Whom It May Concern: I have had the pleasure of knowing Patrick Smith for the last three years. He has been a tremendous student-athlete and a great asset to our football program and university. I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Patrick for the Master’s in Business Administration program at the University of Nebraska. In my 30 years of coaching Division I football, Patrick is one of the finest young men I have had the honor of coaching. Patrick was a dedicated football player and student, and I feel confident that he will continue to succeed in his graduate studies. In all that Patrick does, he gives his full and total effort. Due to his leadership skills, Patrick became a coach on the field and mentored young players. He earned absolute respect from his teammates and coaches through his constant effort and encouragement to others. As a testament to his abilities and contributions, he was named co-MVP of the 2012 Western Illinois football team. Patrick is a highly motivated young man who excels in mastering every challenge he faces. He has demonstrated excellent time management skills and an outstanding work ethic which has enabled him to be successful on and off the field. Patrick is a take-charge person who is able to successfully develop plans and implement them. He was also very involved in the community service projects our team completed. If given the opportunity to enroll in your graduate program, I am confident that you will become as proud of Patrick as we are here. His drive and abilities will truly be an asset to your program. He is a very special person. Respectfully, Mark Hendrickson Former Head Football Coach Western Illinois University
