During the summer of 2022, on the Spanish island of Mallorca, a friend of mine, who has previously promoted concerts with AC/DC successfully in Germany, realized that Canadian pop/rock legend on the Spanish mainland and so managed to get him to tag an extra concert on in Mallorca.

great friends at this amazing event with their shared love of Ice Hockey and so Axel started sounding out the idea of a concert in his second home city to visit and do a show. I cheekily informed him of how Pattaya is a shining light in a crazy world and how wonderful for the city it would be for him to come perform here. ‘It’s food for thought’ was his response.

a thank you to him and a chance to showcase our tropical city. I responded negatively initially but changed my mind when coming up with the idea to do a reggae version. I whirled the idea around in my mind and got to work in my studio. The resulting track from me, unsurprisingly turned out more poppier and commercial radio sounding than the original plus, with tropical overtones. So, we then set about making a video featuring Axel’s cruiser boat down at Ocean Marina

looking female singer/dancers who would gleefully made me look a whole lot better by adding that necessary touch of glamour.

only a couple of days. ‘Hey Presto’, a new version, track from Axel. So, will this be a factor in luring the great rock star to perform in our area? Only time will tell.

However, you can’t fault us for not trying and general feedback so far is suggesting that myself and Axel should release the challenging last couple of years.
