Dear Design Review Board for Project #3021574, My name is Mike Griffin and my wife and I are full time residents in Madison Tower. We are residents facing the alley.

I’m writing this letter to pass along a few items that I hope you take into consideration as you move through the design review process of the proposed new tower.

Home - Madison Tower is our home. My wife and I cook, eat, sleep and live full time in this wonderful tower community. We purchased the tower unit about 10 years ago and plan to live here for a long while. After seeing the proposal, we are both very concerned and saddened about the prospect of losing the wonderful light and air that we have today. We are both fearful of the reduction in quality of life that may come with the loss of these 2 key components for a happy and enjoyable home life downtown.

Bedroom – Our bedroom window faces the proposed new structure. We are worried about residents and tenants of the new tower being able to see directly into our bedroom as we live our lives.

Bathroom – The interior of our bathroom can be seen with great detail from tenants or residents at the same height from the proposed new tower. With the new tenants being 20 or so feet away, they will have a clear view of the very private bathroom activities of getting ready for work and going to bed.

Alley - We are not clear on how the alley would function as a proper alley with the addition of new traffic from the new tower. Please look into this area with great detail and make sure the best decision is made.
