Mission Statement The mission of Artesanias Peruanas Jalpadi are: letting the world know about our culture through our products and to help our Peruvian artisans continue creating beautiful handcrafted goods, but most of all to help people in different ways by giving them support to reach their dreams. This will be done by your purchasing our products, and with our earnings we will use a percentage to work with different organizations. We believe that the only way to success is through education and we would love to help the children of Peru so that they will be able to finish high school and go to a university. We want to give to the people of our country by providing them with opportunities to change. We hope you will join us in our journey. We wish to grow and be able to give jobs to more Peruvian artisans and to leave our name in the minds of every customer in many countries with the quality and harmony of our products. About Us The idea of Artesanias Peruanas Jalpadi, was born on July 2008 with theirs founders Dr. Alberto Burgos Tiburcio and his wife Paola Del Valle Patron. In 2008, when Alberto and Paola traveled to their native country, Peru, with their two little ones: Jesus and Diego, they found that Lima has become a modern dynamic city with many tourist attractions, beautiful malls and many new buildings. Overall, you could feel that our Inca's culture turned into a more progressive place in various economical areas. During their stay, Paola decided to visit one of the artisans' fairs in Lima, and one more time she fell in love with the work of our Peruvians artisans, where each product is made with a precious finish and you consider them a valuable investment. Alpaca,The South American Camelidae, are grouped in four species: two of them, Vicuna and the Guanaco remain in a wild condition and are protected. The temperature in the Andes, at 4,500 meters (14763 feet’s) above sea level, is extremely changeable: from 18 to 20-centigrade degrees below zero(-4 F), during the night; the temperature can reach 15 to 18 degrees centigrade(64 F) above zero in the morning. The solar radiation intensity, the rarefied atmosphere and the icy cold wind are also some of the difficult conditions that prevail in these high places. To survive in this rough environment, the South American Camelidae are provided with a very special protection, Alpaca fiber. Alpaca fiber is a natural fine and soft product that has more than 17 natural colors in blacks, whites and browns. Alpaca fiber has thermic impermeability and anti-inflamability qualities. The people living in the Andes shear the Alpacas and use their fine fleece for spinning and knitting their clothing and some other products

History about Nasca.- On an arid plain north of modern-day Nazca, The Nazca people etched giant images by brushing away surface soil and stones to reveal the lighter-colored soil beneath. Images of birds, some measuring 60 meters (200 ft) across, predominate, but they also drew killer whales, a monkey (90 meters/300 ft across). All these creatures feature on Nazca ceramics. The straight lines and trapezoids appeared a few hundred years later. There are numerous theories about why the lines were drawn. Maria Reiche who believed they formed part of an astronomical calendar. More recent theories suggest that the geoglyphs were path were paths linking sacred sites or a surface map of underground aquifers, or that they were linked to mountain worship and fertility. Indeed, many of the animal images can be tied to Andean fertility concepts.

How to care for clothing: Always fold them carefully. Dry clean only if it is said so. Unless otherwise use a soft detergent and cold water (30 centigrade). Rinse and wring very carefully. NEVER hang your sweater after washing. Spread it on a clean towel, roll them together and squeeze softly. Follow every step indicated in your garment's label.
