BOARD PROCEEDINGS The following is a synopsis of the July 2, 2012 meeting of the Kssson Township Board. A complete transcript is available from the Township Clerk. Clerk Feys called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance. She then asked Trustee Roger Noonan to chair the meeting. Members present: Julian, R. Noonan, B. Noonan, and Feys. Absent: Lanham. Three guests also attended the meeting. The following items were rescheduled for the August meeting: 12.b – Amendments to Kasson Township Zoning Ordinance and 12.c - Recycling of Scrap Metal Permit – Roger Noonan. The following item was added to the agenda: Reschedule August meeting. Approved minutes of the June 4, 2012 meeting with corrections. Reviewed correspondence. Received Treasurer’s report and approved payment of bills. Received Planning Commission and Zoning Administrator reports. Discussed renewals on SUP’s other than gravel renewals – ZA Lanham will check yearly on granted Special Use Permits. Agreed that a Board member will attend an editorial meeting at the Leelanau Enterprise to promote and explain our request for the .75 mills Fire and Ambulance Millage Proposal. Clerk advised that she has not received reimbursement for an illegal burn of brush pile requested last month. Agreed to support the Maple City Car Show to be held August 19th. Agreed to reschedule the Monday, August 6, 2012 Board meeting to Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 7:30 pm.
