No business can have a sustainable future without having a sustainable society to work in. That’s why global businesses are engaging with global issues such as climate change. Now One Community - the Community Foundation for Kirklees can make it easy for local business to help sustain local communities and the environment. By contributing to our new environment fund “Our Environment” - your business can help projects throughout Kirklees, which are engaged in: • Wildlife habitat creation and protection • Promoting use of, and access to, the countryside • Improving the local urban environment • Reducing waste and pollution • Living more sustainably in our localities Anyone can donate. But by making a long-term commitment as part of their corporate social responsibility plans, Charter Members will be able to demonstrate that community responsibility in action. What’s more, their money will go further and achieve more by being pooled, making it possible for businesses to really make a difference.
CHARTER MEMBERS
• Will make a minimum commitment to the fund of £2,500 per annum for at least 3 years. • Will be entitled to use the One Community Charter business logo in their own branding and publicity • Will see their money pooled with others to support projects right across Kirklees
• Members will receive an annual Corporate Environmental Responsibility report from the fund with copy, quotes and photographs of the projects supported by the fund, which can be used for publicity.
CHARTER ASSOCIATES
• Will make a minimum contribution to the fund of £500 per annum for at least 3 years. • Will see their money pooled with others to support projects right across Kirklees.
• Associates will receive an annual report on how the fund has supported projects across Kirklees.
