BRIEF TITLE
MANCHESTER BOOK FAIR
The Brief
Considerations
Create a book of illustrations that have a conceptual connecting theme between them. The book should contain information about the illustrations also, however, it should showcase the images over anything else.
Major consideration should be made to the way in which the book should take shape. The form of the book will essentially dictate the function. If I decide to make small books then I will have to illustrate accordingly. This would probably have to be considered before any physical designing begins.
Concept/Proposition A tangible way of viewing illustration that I have produced myself whilst expressing the design skills I also possess that allow me to make the book. Background
Mandatory Requirements
The Manchester Book Fair is a great place to network and sell a bit of your own work to get yourself potentially notices. If not, it’s also a great experience in indulging in the design world.
Printed and make books made to a standard that I feel is compatible with the standard of the book fair.
Target Audience
Deliverables
People who enjoy to a thought provoking illustration. No specific age or gender. As the event is directed at the creative industry, this will be me general audience.
Ideally 5+ books to sell at the fair.
Tone of Voice
Studio Deadline
Certainly not serious, but nevertheless serious in the sense that I am trying to create something worthy of the very competitive creative industry. I would like to provoke thought in an interesting and amusing way.
This brief should be read in conjunction with the module brief. Please refer to module information at E_STUDIO for module brief, submission deadline, graded outcomes and further reading.
