DISCOVER BATAAN
Bataan is a place that reminds us of the democracy and freedom fought by Filipino-American defenders from the Japanese imperial forces during World War II.
Founded in the year 1754 by Governor Pedro Manuel Arandia. The region is divided into Corregimiento of Mariveles and Province of Pampanga. Under Corregimiento of Mariveles is the municipality of Mariveles, Bagac , Morong and Maragondong. While under Pampanga, includes municipality of Orion, Pilar Balanga, Abucay, Samal,ORani, Llana, Hermosa and San Juan de Dinalupihan.

Originally known as “Bayandati� was under administration of Nagbalayong. Back since early days, the main source of income of the people of Morong was mainly fishing , farming and by selling goods in Ologapo and Manila.

PAWIKAN CONSERVATION CENTER Established in the year 1999 lead by a reformed community of poachers and egg collectors. Now dedicated in protecting and conserving the remaining pawikan. An organization that devotes their service for mother nature in effort to maintain a healthy co-existence for the present and future.

FESTIVAL
The pawikan festival was first celebrated in the year 2001 and has been celebrated anually since then. This is to remind the people of the importance of marine turtles in the eco system, and to impart knowledge, understanding and education about pawikan to the public.
